Outstanding duo. That Pioneer is awesome to begin with, but it's "survivor" status makes it even more special. Maybe I asked you already, but what started your love affair with SAKs?

Travelling light today, with this peanut sized Ohta.

Since I came home from work, the #68 White Owl - great knife

The long long rest of the day I carried this one ... a GEC as well but #15 instead

Thank you!
Bought a Champion in '72, regularly carried it EDC/backpacking and then for nearly 3 months hiking/traveling in Europe, very impressed with it. Was SAK dealer in '81-'83 and used an out of the box Pioneer to cut up a ton of heavy boxes, very impressed with it (EDC'ed it for the next 20 years)...closed my store and took remaining SAK stock home to start my collection. As I've posted before, the wildfire in '06 took all my knives. Only my old Pioneer and a few others remained.

Growing up with Old Timers I love my traditional knives, but after that fire I decided that unless I was dead or incarcerated, I would never be without SAKs.

Now it's an illness and I'm a....collector!

Tough choices bro! Owning excellent knives will do that to ya!

Which BRKT is this? I'm seriously considering my first fixed blade, and BRKT is one of my main considerations. I'd be looking for an EDC size knife. Thanks.

Bravo Micro. It's pretty tiny (4.9" OAL and 2.25" blade), and one of their new models this year. Shoot me a PM if you have some questions on it or others that size and/or a bit larger.

Love that mammoth, looks great!
Lately, each time I see a pic of one of these, I'm more and more drawn to the blade shape, whereas at first I didn't find it very exciting. Uh-oh... ;)
