In honor of Independence Day, I decided to stay with the old girls the rest of the week. Today is this beauty from Syracuse Knife Co. The old Camillus brand from '35-'40. This was reworked and brought back to life with new scales. Glad someone saved her from the trash pile. These knives were the working tools of the men and women that built this country. Everyone of these old girls gives me goosebumps when I hold them and think of where they've been.
Tomorrow to round out the week, one my oldest and definitely a favorite. My Keen Kutter K440 SS from 1910-1920.

Hale Storm - Beautiful old Syracuse Knife Co. and excellent re-handle work - what is the jigged material?? Looking forward to the Keen Kutter!

I agree, fantastic boker, Simple Man

Primble

That is my good side:D

Yes I took the picture. I have a few in the photography section under The Macroverse.

That's a great pic and looks like a wonderful place to sit and relax a bit!

Love that one!

Heading out with a new to me Swayback Jack - thanks to Trand!

No problem Jennifer :) I'm glad you're carrying and enjoying it!!

Got these two today; each one a gift from a gracious forum member. Thanks Will and Scruff.
Awesome. Couldn't pick a favorite out of those two! Both are exceptional.

Haven't carried a traditional other than my trusty SAK for a while. Back in the saddle with the ebony RJ.
That looks like a great way to get back in the saddle!

Love that Swayback Jack Jennifer - the handle color is fantastic!:eek:
Thanks.

Jone, you make that pouch out of the old baseball mitt? Awesome job! :D
Yes, thanks. Made from a HUTCH brand glove - a Cincinnati based company I believe. Only my second attempt, but I'm pleased. Holds cards and a little cash.

Love it. Looking forward to tomorrow's post.

Lots of great knives and photos today, as usual. :) I'm carrying a diverse pair that were gifted to me by Jack Black. I'm loving the Lambsfoot on the Arthur Wright and the Lobster pattern is absolutely fascinating to me (my first Lobster). I hope everyone is having a good day.
Would love to see more of that lobster - cool knife. Well, they are both cool, but I really like that one!

It is Green, Hand Jigged Dyamondwood. I wish I had the talent to do it but credit where due, it was done by an outfit from Protem, Missouri. I do a lot of mods but haven't gotten to the slip joints yet. I will eventually. It is much more beautiful in person. The pics just don't do the old girl justice. Enjoyed her today and now that I'm home, I needed her one more time before she gets a little rest. Tomorrow, the Keen K440 SS.

Have to out to the woods today ... cutting down some dead trees. Texas Jack and my ol' trusty saw are my companions today...

This Radio Jack has turned Jack into a dull boy!

Can't get enough of this little #25. It's keeping the others out of my pocket.
And I love kiwis - both the fruit and the people :p:thumbup:
