I enjoyed this one today

I LIKE this one a lot:thumbup:

Is it single blade? If so, I have to get one:D

Nice swedge implant on that CASE Bermuda Green, Jeremy.

Today, GEC Tidioute 73 Liner Lock in CSB

You know Elliott, one of these weeks we outta make a game of it and let the traditional folks pick your knife for each day of that week. Might be kind fun (for us not you). :)

Today its the Case stockman again. I have my first German made traditional on the way. I'll likely start a thread about it when I get it as it probably may be a good conversation piece.

Fun is good, Luciano. I'm looking forward to that feeling again soon. (Home repairs going on. :grumpy:)

I love this knife. I fact, if I owned it, I think it would cure my compulsive spending for a while.

Yeah, right. You'd be Jonesin' on the net for days, trying to find any other Halfrichs for sale, while telling the wife you were looking for a quaint little bed & breakfast for a weekend getaway!
;) :p

(Hey, who says we can't swap 'em out? ;))

Haha! Good choice!

Well, I am bit superstitious. If my day starts off great, I don't swap out. However, if it happens to be one of those days, well, I will try and pick a different slipjoint and see if that makes everything better. Sometimes it does. ;)

I carried a Gerber Silver Knight 250C (three blades) today. It has a 2-1/2" drop point main, a small sheepsfoot and a small pen blade. It's close to a stockman in blade layout except for the fact that it has a pen blade rather than a spey. So, I don't know what to call it, but I like this little knife a lot and you don't see that many of them in the wild.

Just another Sunday out in the sticks..

Went to an ultra traditional Mike Wilson custom since I put myself on light duty today. :) First thing this morning went fishing with my son. Caught a few small fish, several undersized large mouth bass and one little alligator gar that my son Colton really enjoyed fighting.. Released them all.

The highlight of the trip though was when we were on the way back home, we pulled over my old Ford PU to save a juvenile box turtle crossing one of our busiest highways out where we live. The turtle had been walking for some time in the Florida heat and had hot road tar on his feet and the bottom of his shell. I took out my knife and quickly and carefully scraped off the hot tar. Just a minute or so later, a little gal about the same age as my son Colt and her mom had the same idea and turned around after seeing the little box turtle, but were afraid to pick him up. So, my son Colt showed her what to do and how to grab the turtle from the upper back of the shell, but she was too afraid, so we agreed to bring it back to they're property and the little gal released it into her pond under Colton's guidance. It was kinda cool to see my son interact with a cute little female and to see the both of them smile and carry on while assisting this critter..

Anyway, got back home. Poured myself a little libation pondering the day so far and went to cutting the slip ties off of my Queen palm tree's wooden steaks that were planted at the beginning of the summer, and to slicing a few cucumbers and cheese for the salad for our all day Sunday B-B-Q, and whittling down a nice long hand made shish-kabob stick out of an available black olive branch.. mmmm life is good. :D

Man, that sounds like the perfect day. The kind of days I look forward to sharing with my son (he's only one). Thanks for the post.

That one is exceptionally nice, Elliott. The color on the bone is great...is that Antique Bone?

Kerry, yep. that's the "antique bone" which I think Case does a wonderful job with.

Other than the shield being a bit proud (as on all the other knives) and a relatively inconsistent edge (which sharpened up quite nicely), I have nothing but good things to say about this knife. It's a keeper for sure.

Here's the pile side:

I hope to be carrying this knife soon... :D

What model is this one? I like the blade shape.

5235 1/2 SSP Jack. It a real thick little fella though you can't tell in the pic. Heavy for it's size but carries well. Circa 1982 I think. The pull on the pen blade is a real nail breaker but the clip is about an 8 out of 10 just the way I like it.

Willgoy, it's a single blade...you're gonna love yours!

Thanks:thumbup: Just didn't know they had released them in that bone. Perhaps you could e-mail me details of your supplier?

Today Hen&Rooster small Whittler. At 3" very small BUT realistic and with some very delicious Bark Stag. Sorry, no camera here
