What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

that is one good looking case....

i've taken to the swayback after jani's thread. glad i did.

That sway back is a super sweet knife. That new wharncliffe trapper is after my heart as well. My red canoe is getting jealous. I've got to find some pants with more pockets!!! :D

I just recently acquired this one and thought it would get traded but the more I carry it the more I carry it! I think this one will be hanging around.

Today I got second hand Schrade made Buck 301. That knife has been thru alot, yet it has strong walk and talk, takes shaving sharp edge. This knife has a character :)

I wouldn't be tradin that one off either.... Very nice

Still going with the Big Jack in burnt grizzly bone. Relubed and worked the blade/springs about a 100 times each, and now it's an 8 nail bender instead of a 9 nail breaker!
Seriously though, I do like strong springs--so, I have to file my thumbnail a little more often. ;)

So after 5 months of use, this Menefee Zulu spearpoint trapper was losing its edge a bit so I worked on the blade this morning. I have a patch of hair missing off my arm now but I also have a big smile on my face and the trapper in my pocket. It's going to be a good day today. :)

A very robust and sturdy Laguiole today and a pretty little something to look at while I'm working a long;) nightshift tonight.

I've been carrying these two for past days with me. You might be able to see start of patina in Sway Back Jack. Few apples and plums and CV is starting to patinize very nicely.

My FLymon (Stu) inspired Texas Jack today. Called in today for a little paperwork project. No knife work required during the course of duties, but I did open some mail after I got back home.

Times are tough, but life is good.

That knife is something special. It looks perfect. If there's anything I like as well as a Wharncliffe, it's a modified Wharncliffe (zulu spear in this case).
