What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Man oh man Jack....no wonder your wallet was emptied! Nice haul! :D

Thanks my friend, I did go a bit crazy...then suddenly my wallet was empty! :D

The Elliott carving set is very special (I'll get better pics at some point), but I'm not sure why I bought it, I just couldn't resist the attraction of the sharp and pointy! :D

What's the ebony handled jack with the grooved bolsters, Jack? Lovely haul! I'd love to poke around in your house some day. Although, I suppose one must be careful. There's a lot in there to poke back! :D

Today's carry:

15 Crownlifter in Ebony and a 85 in goldenrod micarta.

Thanks Dan! :D  You're always welcome my friend :) Two lovely knives you're carrying today

That one went over in my pocket, I don't think I've ever found anything quite THAT nice ;)

I'm going to visit ADEE today, so have a few old knives with me. In my pocket though is a knife I really treasure, a very special old Boker Jack sent to me by Mr Paul Hilborn :)

Is that Rich Herder ya posted a bit back? I got this one in some time ago and had not seen any others. For a Scout, it makes a nice compact carry.

It's an old Carl Schlieper  Just three blades on mine, and it's not so small, but a great knife to have in your pocket. Nice Scout

Here it is next to a Radio Jack for reference. And with everything out! :)

I just opened my mail and BAM! My friend Primble sent me this grail NYKC two blade jack! Thank you Primble....it is awesome! :D:D

Congratulations Mark

:)

Yup, yours is in much better condition and quality than mine, but they sure look to be cousins. Thx

It was a present from Duncan Campbellclanman. I have a Kaufman that looks quite similar to yours, but without the nice bail. Here's something else to ponder

Amundsen's knife, a Pradel - It's in a museum in Canterbury England, not in my sock-drawer by the way! :D I do have a similar knife, but it may be a fake Pradel, of which there are apparently many.

Very nice Mark!!! that Southern gentleman is quite gracious as I know first hand (as well as many people here) that Mark is a timeless beauty:thumbup::cool:

The floor board need some reinforcement, my friend. Some fine pick-ups today!

NICE, haul there Jack!!! Tins, Knives and a Silver case? compass:thumbup:

Thanks guys :) Yes Paul, I am very pleased with the pocket compass, just researching it now

Sorry Paul, I misread your post. The compass is nickel silver over brass. Francis Barker & Son, 1920 or possibly older. Serial number corresponds to the year of my birth :)

Very similar to this one: http://www.borealarrow.com/Compasses/BA140512529/d.htm

Hello!

Wonderful pieces again, everyone!

I had my newly arrived made-to-measure custom Navaja slipjoint by J.D.Ware with me for the first time. I can not say enough good things about Jeff and this piece! It just feels a looks "right" to me (can't explain it better).

These are the very first images I just snapped at home an hour ago, nothing to do the knife any justice (the gold behind the semi-translucent bulls horn gives it a great warm glow that does not come accross at all in the images).

Best regards,
Alex
