What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Case Rancher Mini Trapper with stag scales and wharncliffe blade,

and a black G-10 Russlock given to me by RaptureRaptor which I haven't taken a picture of yet.

And I just have to comment that I totally agree with Mr. Black above...very nice...the pinned on shield really makes this one stand out!!:thumbup:

Looks fabulous, Alex!! It has that Navaja flair!! Can't wait to see more and am wondering about its dimensions?

Took these with me to my stand before work. Didn't see anything but I had good company.

Today was a special day so I thought I should carry a special one for the occasion. Number 2 is on the way! On a side note, and to open up a bit, my first daughter has Glanzmann's thrombasthenia so there is 25% chance my new baby will as well. For those who pray, pray for health, and that we will be prepared no matter what happens.

Hope you all have a great night and Thanksgiving. There is a lot to be thankful for.

I've been working on my No. 9 that I got yesterday and figured I'd carry it around tonight. It's turning out pretty good. I've still got to do a little more shaping on the handle, do a little file work on the back of the blade so it will "stand up" straighter when opened, then I'll just need to find a nice dark (or whatever shade I decide on) stain. Still not quite clear on the whole polyurethane/ lacquer deal, but I'll figure all that stuff out when I get to it. Sliming the blade down did wonders for it in the pocket. I forgot it was in there for a while.
Oh yeah, pictures.
Before-
After-
Edit- You can't really tell from the pictures, but I took a lot of the sides.

Congratulations!

My first is due in a couple of weeks and my mood varies between extreme excitement and abject terror.

I will pray for both your kids, Brett. Life is all too precious. :)

I am glad that you liked the old knife Mark. The kitty pic was a nice touch too.:thumbup:;):D

Hello!

Wonderful pieces again, everyone!

I had my newly arrived made-to-measure custom Navaja slipjoint by J.D.Ware with me for the first time. I can not say enough good things about Jeff and this piece! It just feels a looks "right" to me (can't explain it better).

Beautiful and unique knife Alex.:)

Stunning Sodbuster!!!
Did the filework on the back spring change the pull much, if at all ?

These are the very first images I just snapped at home an hour ago, nothing to do the knife any justice (the gold behind the semi-translucent bulls horn gives it a great warm glow that does not come accross at all in the images).

Best regards,
Alex

Alex,
Congratulations on Your J.D.Ware navaja, Jeff makes an extremely well crafted folder.
His Knives are ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL to say the least.
