What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Took a hike in the snow today with my new Opinel. The contrast of the bright green against the perfectly white snow was amazing!

Sorry to spam my Schrade here but I went outside with my DSLR and finally got some good pics that are representative of this beautiful red bone...

That is a beautiful old Schrade. I really like that pattern and am on the lookout for one in bone. I have and delrin 861 and 61ot that see a lot of pocket time.

:thumbup: You weren't kidding about that green!

Ha ha ha! Nope! Love this shade of green... but mainly for my EDC stuff and knives.. My favorites are orange, this bright green, and camo. I also like the pearl, and some reds. There is a shade of blue in this style of Opinel that I like, too..it's a sky blue. I am definitely NOT into pink stuff. If you're going to carry a knife, I don't personally believe in 'pinking' it up. I am not against anyone who does, or saying anything bad about them, per se, but to me, knives and such are 'tough' and in my opinion, the entire 'pink' stuff just doesn't go. :-)

I spent the better part of the day with these two Barlows, which arrived here at 9:00 a.m. this morning. I went to work on them immediately. I had to re-profile blades on both knives and finally got them up to Primble specs by late afternoon. I then added a re-patina on the blades of both the old Robeson and the old Schrade Cut. Co. I normally never show a before picture, but, since this Schrade was way rougher than anything that I normally purchase, I thought the after was drastically different from the before condition:
