What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Great pic  I have not seen that knife before, what is the model?

It's the middle sized Gerber Folding Sportsman. I think they were sized I II and III.
I used to have all three but I'm down to this one.

I hear you, Jim, especially regarding the Boker congress carver! Why don't you go ahead and get one of those right now, and tell us what they're really like? ;):p That's the one designed BY a carver FOR carvers, right? I'll totally trust your judgment, Jim; just order now and give me the lowdown!:thumbup::D Thank you, sir!

Haha, GT

Thanks for the help!

Jim

Very nice indeed, I think I might slip mine (won in KBA's giveaway) in my pocket today :)

Back in black with these two today.

Suits you my friend :)

Thanks, Jack. Hope you're enjoying your new WLST :)

I am indeed r8shell

Thanks for the comment Jack:)

Sweet little #25 you've got, best not flash it around too much in case P see's it...., oops!

Thanks Sam  :D

Thanks, Jack. One of the cooler things about that excellent EKA is the stack of three slim springs instead of one fat one. I haven't seen that many broken springs, but I don't mind a little insurance.

A well-made knife for sure, I've had mine since 1991, and yours looks to be of the same period my friend, maybe even older

Sorry the weather was uncooperative, Jack. I'm not sure what's worse: having outdoor plans that bad weather spoils, or having beautiful weather that one is too busy to enjoy! :thumbdn::confused::thumbedn: Anyway, a fine new knife does bring a rosy perspective to many circumstances, doesn't it? :)

It certainly does GT, and thanks. Hope you're having a great weekend in Oregon

Absolutely beautiful my friend

Have a great Sunday everyone, carrying these two today, both of which came from two great pals here :)

This shows the versatility of GEC: Single-spring two blades equal end, unusual Jack pattern with coping minor-barehead, three blade low riding Stockman with slant bolsters. Jigged bone, smooth bone, Blackwood.

Which to carry?? I'm pocketing all three:D

Had a visit from a good friend of mine yesterday and we were boozing last night :o
Hanging tired around today... ;)

Black Pioneer with red shield is with me today

I just got this one and sharpened it up last night. I'm liking it so far:thumbup:

Nice photo Ryan - classic looking knife!!:thumbup::)

Thanks. It's the #62 Maverick. And one of my favorites, for sure.

In fact, I'm carrying it again today.

Beautiful stag and nice pic SH.:thumbup:;)

I haven't shown my 2 blade NF Barlows much pocket time lately so I thought that should change :)

Have a great Sunday!

Jack - nice pairing. I hope the weather has improved for you.

Will - you should be well prepared with those three today.

Andi - I'm a fan of the black Pioneer... hangovers, not so much. I hope you have a quick recovery.

Ron - great looking NF Barlow. The color of the covers reminds me of strawberries... oh great, now I want a NF Barlow and some strawberries. ;) :)

Smithhammer - wonderful photo.

Gevonovich - Your Summit is a real jewel. The shield and covers are just extraordinary. Can you share any details about Summit Knife Co.? I've not run across that brand before, but clearly they made some fine knives (or at least one very fine knife).

sturzi - gorgeous photo of your Bark River in nature. Well done.

Bloefield - I can see why that one would be a favorite.

Lhpanther - stunning! I love the warm colors of that mammoth.

Kris - you have an impeccable eye for stag. More wonderful examples today. I hope you enjoy your walk, and the final round of the Masters.

This Hammer Brand whittler is with me today.

Sturzi - Looks like you reached the summit as well, good view!

Well, if you want to call all those small local maxima summits, then yes. :D

Sturzi, I really like the black & white ebony!

I love it too, especially the way the grain of both scales are perfectly aligned when looking at the butt of the knife.

sturzi - gorgeous photo of your Bark River in nature. Well done.

Thanks, but unfortunately it can't match Smithhammer's "knife on a fence post" photos. :) :D

Thanks guys for all the nice comments on my S&M Heritage jack:) I'm carrying g a pretty cool knife today but It's been a busy day at work. I'll try and get some decent pics up this evening when I get home:):):)
Hope everyone is having a wonderful Sunday!!

Thanks Stephen, the recovery wishes are highly appreciated :)

Great knife, sturzi. It is great to see BRKs in general. But yours one is exceptional nice. Thanks for showing!
