Every single day 24/7 for over two months now. To say I love this knife would be a huge understatement.

I moved my weekend by two days to enjoy the beautiful weather, I'll go to work Saturday/Sunday when it is raining. :)

Headed out for a hike tomorrow, early morning start, going to take these two with me, my 2014 forum knife, and this old Joseph Haywood recently given to me by Stephen ('Old & In The Way') :)

Finally done with a tough week at work, and decided to settle down with my pet SW stockman for the evening.

Thanks Sarah :), it is a model 6231 1/2, delrin covers, and it's just a tick under 3-3/4" closed. The pen was almost a nailbreaker when it came to me, but has since been loosened up to a moderately strong pull.

Thanks, Duane! A classic beauty for sure, and one that could represent "Jack Knife" well in any pictorial compilation. :)

I know what you mean about those 38's, I have been drawn to them and have resisted the temptation so far, but that frame has a striking similarity to my beloved Powderhorn.

Yes, but without that squirmy thing that happens at the tail end of Powderhorns. ;)

Paul - Best wishes to you and yours!

I never thought I'd like a whittler so much.

clutch, That ebony whittler is such a great looking knife! The ebony version sure is tempting...

Yes, he's Doing It again. :grumpy:

:D

Speaking of which....

I don't want to twist your arm, but I do recommend it. Imagine a #57 Geppetto Whittler all grown up and elegant.

I prefer shorter blades, as on the #57 for better control when whittling, but for a daily use knife, I think this #38 will be perfect. It has the blade variety of a stockman, but in such an easy to carry, and elegant package.

As I have a wharncliffe Gepetto at hand, your direct comparison really helps.

Thanks!

I think.

Then you did it again (seems to be a recurring theme, these days):

Dang.

I was very lucky to win this on a GAW a year ago and I've been very pleased to use it frequently.

Regards to all, Will

That's a Raree for sure, and looks great clad in stag. I love the evident wear.
