What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I really like this knife Jim. Gonna have to get me one.

Kinda too busy/tired to do this thread justice today, but I did race through to look at the always-stimulating photos!:thumbup:
One thing that jumped out at me was the higonokamis; I messed with mine a little bit today. Here's an old pic:

Its doing great at work. Wonder why I didn't get one sooner lol.

Nice OW !!! :thumbup::thumbup:;)

Thanks! It didn't see much use as a knife today, but made for a fine worry stone at the ballpark this evening. One of my sons was pitching, and despite the fact that I was never nervous when I played (about a hundred years ago), I find that watching my kids play is much more nerve racking. Happy to say they played well and won tonight though. :)

"Days Work" and "Farmer" go well together - beautiful !!!:thumbup::)

Thanks Rob, I really like the blade selection:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Stephen, I was the same way with my youngest. I played football on both offense and defensive line and the day I heard him audible "able, able" meaning he could handle the defensive end solo made me smile from ear to ear. Up to that point I was always nervous. I absolutely relived my youth through my boys playing sports:D

Thanks, Todd. I used it in the garden all weekend. Then cleaned it up and put it in kitchen duty. Now it's lookin' a little more plain. Time to polish it up for an updated photo.

Nice pic Bob

Beautiful :)

He said it was pretty hard to read, being sort of artistic, but he interpreted it says "one sword technique"..
So that helped a lot. :D

I know that the black higonokami has picture of samurai Yamamoto Tsunetomo, famous one who developed the "two handed technique" so it would add up SOMEHOW... sheesh, I have no idea!

So don't quote me on that!
Anyway, it came with gorgeous box like this:

A great pic of a very interesting knife, thanks for telling us more about it  Loving all the Higonokami pics folks :)

Cool pic Payton

Glad to hear the boys had a great game Stephen, and congratulations on the win :)

Very nice

Inspired by all the great Higonakami pics, I thought I'd carry mine for Old Friends Friday :)

Hanging onto my TD though ;)

Have a great weekend folks

I was very lucky to win this on a GAW a year ago and I've been very pleased to use it frequently.
