What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Back to my standard Schrade Uncle Henry stockman. I need my thumbnail to heal a little after using the GEC the last two days with its near nail breaker pull :)

My 70s Queen Serpentine Jack, the first Winterbottom Bone I ever got, (even if it is really Delrin).:D

Does that one have excellent walk & talk w/half stops? I actually have two of the single blade jacks in that same Winterbottom family. The one I carry walks and talks with a crisp half stop. I liked the first one, which was given to me by a forum member, that I bought another off the bay. The second one has good walk and talk, and half stops, but I'd call it firm instead of crisp. Still a good knife though, just not as much loved as the first one.

It may just be stainless and it may only be Delrin scaled, but if mine are representative of the rest of that era, then they are easy carrying, excellent cutting tools that do yeoman service day in and day out. They aren't some big city, slicked up babe, but they wouldn't get overlooked at the barn dance either. I'm rather fond of mine, but don't worry about it getting dinged or scratched banging against the Morgan dollar I keep in the same pocket.

Nice to know I'm not the only guy toting one of those old Winterbottoms (Can't believe I'm referring to the 70's as old, it was just last week, right?) I may have to start keeping my eye out for a few more patterns in those scales.

Today it's been a CASE single blade Wharncliffe Trapper I was lucky enough to win in a giveaway. Fine slicer for food prep etc.

New CV yella trapper...might be a plain jane pattern but this knife is perfect. There are no gaps, springs are all good, no play anywhere...simply could not be happier with this.

Back to the GEC Dogleg now that my thumb nail has recovered a little. Working to break it in a little today by cutting up lunch and off to the garage to break down wine boxes.

Plus the third from bottom on right has not left my pocket since I got it, perfect carry. Three too many to carry? Naaah!

Who made the swayback at the bottom?
The single blade SB on left bottom is actually one by Keith Johnson, the two bladed one on right bottom is by Rick Menefee. The inclusion of Keiths was an accident, I have one by Rick in black as well and just picked the wrong one for a family shoot.

Jim,

What is the scale on the middle knife on the left? Do you have a picture of just that knife?

Thanks,
David
