What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I have my old Garden knife with me today, just put another edge on it, its the Humphreys Stag on the left of the photo...sorry guys...it doesnt even compare to those lovely, lovely customs, but its a joy to use...it realy is, I think mainly because its bloody old, still looks good...as a cutter in the garden...I would have prefered to have its original Hawkbill all there...but it does the job, while showing off it's old Stag

Hey Thomas...I like that Soddie!, did you have these scales put on?...what are they made from?...Very nice

Hi,

I have one of my Camillus #21 Peanuts today. Had to take my Daughter back to Collage yesterday. So it was chosen for the drive there and back. And it naturally fell into the pocket again this morning.

It even got taken out and used at the Dorm cafeteria to slice an apple I ate.

Went with this Marbles 3-blade today. Scalpel sharp and real pretty stag bone.
The slender drop point makes opening a letter a sensual experience!

Lately I've been carrying this little Case pen knife w/cracked scale. Between the worn scales and decades of sharpening, it shows a ton of character. I love how much use this thing has seen!

Interesting lockback you show there, thanks. Can you give some more details please?

Oddly enough, I was carrying a brass bolstered Barlow in stag from Trevor Ablett, England today. Didn't much like this at first, strange characteristic of being a devil to open but not much snap. Recently, I've taken to it as I've at last got a howling edge on it and the frequent oiling has mellowed up the opening a good deal.Flush on open and no gaps so it's a credible knife:thumbup:

Fallkniven TK3 Bone

I really like the looks of that TK3. I saw your post in another thread that showed nail nicks on both sides. That's a nice touch. One of my sons is a lefty, that'd be a real nice one for him.

Using your picture navihawk.

That was the knife I bought myself when I turned 40. It came with terrible edge angles and needed a lot of work. It was the knife that was the first in a new period for me with different knifes than up to then. I dont carry it often nowadays as I have a case medium stockman cv that I like better bouth for size and steel, but that queen is a well built knife indeed. My drawbach on it is that I think that the spayblade (with I reprofiled to a pen shaped point) Is a little thin and flexible to my tastes. On the other hand the rather thin sheapfoot blade is the best I tested sofar of that pattern. Mine is also cocobolo with I consider a great and beautiful wood.

yep it has dual nicks, I have both the TK3 and the Tk4 in zytel
the TK3 is a high end knife, great F&F and materials, well contructed and with smooth mechanics
the Tk4 is less refined, screw pivot and zytel handles, it's my backup EDC always with me, having a screw pivot I can clean and tinker it after a lot of use

the series is great, really suggest them, not "that" cheap but worth it
