First Off---You people here are the best ever---I owe so many thank you's and I will have a first for me coming up in the near future to express my sincere appreciation:thumbup:;)

A WONDERFUL and BLESSED day as we celebrated my Mother in Law Lyla's life today---what a life she LIVED:)

My Ebony Clip/Pen TC Barlow and a recent arrival were carried today (the #38 sat on my workbench for a few days until I was able to open it) I like the #38:thumbup:

Enjoy your weekend everyone:thumbup:

Carrying my Stag Jack today, going to see Garth Brooks!

Is he still alive?! Just kidding. GB just did 6 concerts in 5 days last month in Sacramento. Should be a lot of fun. Better leave Staggy in the car, they might have metal detectors like they do here...

I was in shock when I found this in my mailbox yesterday. The generosity of our members astounds me. Thank you.

That is a shock! But the best kind! Congratulations.

Thanks, Keith, the two make a nice combo that really covers all the bases. Clip, pen, spear and sheepfoot blades, SAK tools,
one in gnarly stag and patina'd 1095, one in silver alox and clean stainless.

Paul, it is so good to see you posting here today, especially given the chain of events you and your family have endured. You do not owe any of us anything. We're all family here, and that's what family does. Support each other in times of need. It is refreshing to hear that you and the family are able to turn what many consider a day of sorrow into a celebration of life. Of course there is always sorrow, but the best tribute to a person upon their passing is when everyone can celebrate the life they lead and joy they brought each and every person they touched throughout their life. Well done buddy. :)

I was just remembering a quote that seems appropriate.

"Some measure their lives by days and years,
Others by heart throbs, passion and tears;
But the surest measure under the sun,
Is what in your lifetime for others you have done."

Very wise words, Bob. Paul, I'm glad you were able to celebrate Lyla's life. Alleluia!

I definitely could not have said it better than Bob or Scott. I am glad you and your family celebrated Layla’s life with a gathering of love. Paul you are such a great friend of everyone on the traditional forum so I was happy to see the support and prayers of everyone here. Glad to see you posting some great knives again my friend.

This evening I'm back to this Case CV Chestnut Sowbelly

That 2 blade long pull ebony spear boys knife is my grail. I first found out about those back in October. Unfortunately, I just haven't been able to get my hands on one. One day, hopefully.

I was in shock when I found this in my mailbox yesterday. The generosity of our members astounds me. Thank you.

Possessions cannot prevent sorrow, nor produce lasting joy in and of themselves.

But sometimes, the right thing(s) at the right time can point towards (and tether us to) a deeper holding beyond our own means and days, lifting our heads and strengthening our hearts, making us laugh (and maybe cry) and marvel at pocketable friendship made real once again.

At least, that's what I've come to know, often through the astounding generosity of others here. I don't even have to be the direct recipient; you all make me better.

Well said P.

It's been a long week and feels like forever since I've posted. I hope all of you are doing well and had a good week.

I'm enthralled and confounded by this one. Absolutely beautiful, but how are the covers attached?
Thank you. I am not sure how they are they are attached. Glue perhaps?

Stephen I echo your sentiments exactly, except for me it has been a long 3 weeks. I have really missed all my friends on the porch:) that is quite an ensemble of 38's :thumbup:
