Bob's post of his old scout inspired me to toss my old Sodbuster, Jr. in my pocket. My Dad gave this to me in 1971; he was working at the knife factory in Olean, NY at the time.

I don't have a Davison with a blasted finish like this but I've seen them in person. It looks like it would have a texture to it, but it's surprisingly very smooth. Love it!!

I decided to go with an old friend for Old Friends Friday.
I've had this Ulster Scout knife for 51 years now.

Still a young sapling for old friend's friday yet but can't get enough of Bob's Dogleg which I will never get rid of.
