What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I carried these two today

How old would you say that tree was ? It makes me DIZZY !!! :barf::barf::barf::D

Is my FISH Barlow ready yet ?:confused::D

I want to like it. I love using it, but just doesn't appeal to my eye like I thought it would in person. Seems like I should trade it or something given you dont see the ebony every day. Just too many other options I like better I think. Maybe it will grow on me

The ebony version is a good looking knife! If the appeal is your concern, hold onto it for now. It will grow on you. Personality always triumphs looks :p

Join the GEC viper family instead ;) swaybacks and wharncliffes do grow on you considering they're such good slicers.

I only had a couple of hour's sleep last night, so feeling pretty rough today. Have to stay in for roofers coming to fix my roof too, so I think I'm going to be stuck in all day. Slipping my WLST in my pocket

Hope the roof got fixed :(, That stout WLST looks great with that bunch:thumbup:

Your Lambertson is super nice, I really like the tapered tang and materials.

Felt like carrying something pretty old today.

Very nice sodbusters GT

VERY appealing Schrade, Dave!:thumbup: What sort of photographic trickery are you using to make it look like that blade is far too long to fold back into that handle??

Thanks GT, I just hope my cell phone doesn't focus on the background, haha. I like the way David (Thales2015) composes his pics so I go for that angle. :o:);)

Great photo and knives Mark, loving that barlow:thumbup:

:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:^^^

Barlow today

Primble, if you concentrate real hard, you can count the rings and figure out the age of the tree. Poor little tree looks pretty crusty. Someone hacked that thing up :blue:

You're getting a Fish Barlow!!!? Wow, no way!!

They go well together Gary

Sure do

Sorry to hear you're "running on empty" today, Jack; hope the roofers weren't too hard to deal with. I like your WLST, the Barlow with the Napolean complex! :D:D

Thanks my friend :) The roofers didn't even turn up! Thanks, LOL! :D

Very classy Stephen

Interesting knife

I love the utilitarian good looks of this one :)

Love those photos almost as much as the knife! That first shot is perfect imo and I wish I had land near me like that. Thanks for sharing those.

+1. Two stunning pics

Hope the roof got fixed :(, That stout WLST looks great with that bunch:thumbup:

Barlow today

Thanks my friend, I'm afraid not :( Thanks, I should send them after my errant roofers! :D THe story behind the photograph is that in the 1864 Parliamentary Elections, the Chief Constable of Whitby feared trouble, so he rounded up all the local scallywags, swore them in as Special Constables, and kept them drilling all day! :D

Beautiful Barlow :)

Finally got my Washington Jack back from GEC...

Thanks again Stephen :)
