Cool pics Pete !! :thumbup::thumbup:

Here is my contribution to cutting tools today!

Great pair Todd. :thumbup::)

Catching up on the thread and way too many wonderful knives to comment on but there is not a one I didn't admire :D
A Scout and Dutch Bros type of day for me

Great knife ! :thumbup::thumbup::)

Beautiful Coats OW ! :thumbup::thumbup::)

Congrats on concluding a successful search, Jordan; that's a fine-looking specimen!! :thumbup::thumbup: Are the handles actually jigged wood, or have "life experiences" given the scales a textured look?

- GT

Thanks GT! It's actually jigged wood. There are a couple of WWII knife patterns from Camillus that have jigged wood scales. It's actually a common find on the USCG/Navy knives from that time period. Here's an old thread with a couple good photos: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...-Boat-Sailor-s-knives?p=12982951#post12982951

Beautiful knife there GEV!

Thank you very much!! I appreciate your compliment:D

Gev, that's a complete show-stopper for me!! :eek::eek: I've been looking for a special 30th wedding anniversary knife for over a month now, and one of the top contenders is a 2-bladed toothpick in stag, so when I see one, it definitely grabs my attention! Can you provide any details on that knife, including the name you gave it? Is it a GEC Powderhorn, or a completely different model? Just an incredible knife, sir! :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup: I think it will definitely give me a "Platonic ideal" I can compare my search results to! :D
- GT

It's a Frank Buster / Celebrated Cutlery / Germany -- Fightn Rooster. It a well made knife and quite big at 5 in. closed. I thought it had "True Grit" just like Rooster Cogburn who was played by one of my favorites,the big man himself, John Wayne in a movie of the same name. Don't miss it either:D Let me know if you need any thing else. You don't see a lot of them but you still can find um;)

For the past week I have put aside my Uncle Henry slim stockman and carried a two blade Barlow (pen and clip). No picture of it just now but I suppose most of you know what it looks like, A Sears Craftsman marked Ulster 10OT with sawcut Delrin covers. It has good fit and function and takes a nice edge. The patina is nice too.

Nice pairing, Tom :thumbup:

Rooster Cogburn today

Thanks Gevo, great knife and gorgeous pic as always :thumbup:.

I like the blend of uniformity and diversity in your daily carry, Tom!! A fixed blade and a folder each day, but what a variety of each you have to choose from!! :eek::cool::cool:

Thanks for the kind words GT! I struggle with posting the same kind of knives daily, as I don't want to bore the good folks here. But I like photography and love knives :), so I continue. Someone tell me if I am boring you and I will cease and desist :D.

Absolutely not boring at all Tom! Please keep them coming, the knives I get to look at each day is something I look forward to. Yours very much included.

Gev, that is a beautiful knife my friend:cool:

Drew, thank you buddy, I really really like the #38, it's a terrific knife and the pruner blade is a cutting machine:thumbup:

tdkfm those ole Fairmounts are fine knives, take a terrific edge as well. I actually was working in Fairmount ND today:thumbup:

Tom and Paul
Thanks so much, gents:D:thumbup:

Paul, you have quite the collection of Alox:thumbup::thumbup:

Codger

It's hard to beat a nice old Uncle Henry slim stockman. If it lasted two weeks, it must have stuck a chord.

The upcoming run of spey bladed Barlows at GEC sent me looking for my old friend. Love that yellow bone.
