What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I've got the stag one with me today:)

Ryan - Nice 73's buddy! Let's have a patina competition, my stag will be here Thursday. :)

Is that the Adventurer II you just got in Markesharp? The belt loop on that sheath looks to have been supersized for durability. Great looking blade!

Thanks much Tim. That is the Adventurer 1 and the sheath was purchased for it. The Adventurer II in Cocobolo will be here Thursday and I hope it fits that sheath. I will post a pic of them together when it comes in. :)

This beautiful Medium Barlow...It was a gift from Joe (J_curd) a few days ago. A late birthday present of sorts. The pull is probably a 7, gorgeous jet black African Blackwood, nice walk and talk, centered, a fine example of a Barlow. Couldn't be happier with it!!

Congrats, Kirby!:thumbup: You should compare notes with arizonaranchman; I think he has one just like it that he can't keep out of his pocket! :D

I got talked into one of those "knife punch cards" - buy 1 million get the next one free... ;)
:D It's all about the marketing, David! :D

...Here is quick picture of the play house. I'll post better ones once I'm complete. 1st floor is 8'x8', second is 8'x10', the girls can hardly wait.

Awesome playhouse!!:cool: (I've done some projects that ended up looking very similar to yours, but that wasn't my intent. :()

...Fremont with oiled bone...very STOUT knife;) pictured with a solid 2oz .308 silver bullet;)
...
I KNEW it!! Riding around the Dakota plains doing good deeds, silver bullets … Who was that masked man?? The secret's out, Paul! I'm thrilled to make the acquaintance of the Lone Ranger! :p:p

Sitflyer, I agree 100%. I can't believe a $12 knife keeps so many of my other knives sitting at home. If they came with carbon blades I think I would own every model they made! Mine was on duty again today.
...
Your MAM intrigues me, flatblackcapo! The liner lock works well? Would you consider getting one without the lock? How does it compare to an Opinel, or is there a better comparison involving "more familiar" knives?

Carrying these two today :)
...
Nice knives, as usual, Jack; but I'm looking at that marvelous pocket slip you have pictured today and thinking that you have several VERY attractive slips, don't you?:thumbup:

...Today I have a Kutmaster Coffin in my pocket. Fine blades, finish ok though not up to the Case leve and far from that splendid 63 Queen.
...
That's an eye-catching coffin jack, Jolipapa!!:thumbup: I hadn't had much interest in that pattern until recently; now I've seen several that are really catching my fancy (as well as my eyes).

Can't seem to get a good shot of the maroon micarta on this City Knife, regardless of the light. But I am totin' these today nonetheless :)...
Looks great to me, Tom. ;) And I finally (:o) noticed that you don't use the same double sheath each day; how many and how much variety do you have to choose from??

My new pride and joy...this knife is totally perfect in every way. My photos are another story.

Joel Chamblin MOP single spring.
...
Congrats, J_Curd; that is an out-of-this-world JC MOP! Wow!!!:eek::thumbup:

...No Vampires needed as GEC is managing to suck my bank account dry on its own:o
...
:D:D Seems like there's a lot of that going around! :D:D

A coin depicting Alexander the Great for some character…
...
With those two blades, you could have given Big Alex a run for his money, David! ;)

I've got the stag one with me today:)
...
That's absolutely gorgeous stag, Ryan!:cool::thumbup::thumbup:

Another #47 for me today  This one may not be as cute as its Viper cousins, but do not let that fool you :D:eek::D:eek:...
Very nice, Ron!:thumbup: Do you know if they made any 2-blade versions of that fine knife?

On vacation with my family. After 30 minutes in the toy store with my girls deciding what to have dad buy them I decided to class it up a bit with my blackwood. :)
...
VERY cool pic, Drew, but aren't you asking to be arrested for opening a big dangerous knife in a toy store full of kids??!??:rolleyes::o

With Father's Day coming up soon, carrying this recruit for the man who carried and gave it to me. ...
Really love those Vic Recruits, Tim, and to have one with that special sentimental attachment is fabulous!:cool::)

Among the knives I'm carrying this week are a buffalo horn 85 (thanks again, Paul), an elegant old Keen Kutter in ebony, and a lovely little LF & C pen knife (thanks, Mark).

GT, that 85 really nice but I've got to admit, that keen cutter has my undivided attention:) is there a chance we could get some more pics of it and some sizes on it please?
Thanks:):):)
Ryan

I dropped my 1989 Ka-Bar Humpback Jack in my pocket on the way to work today.

I closed it first... :cool::D

Thank you GT, it's definitely one of my most treasured knives, still rock solid after 40 years and a great user.

GT, Now that's a funny image...an aging, fat Lone Ranger!!! The poor horse:eek:

Dadpool, BEAUTIFUL Ka Bar:thumbup:

The "Lick Creek" and Silver bullet again today:)

Yep. Closing it first is the way to go. ;)
That's an unusual knife. I like it a lot. What's the closed length?

Looks great to me, Tom. ;) And I finally (:o) noticed that you don't use the same double sheath each day; how many and how much variety do you have to choose from??

Thanks GT! I am resigned to thinking that particular city knife is just not very photogenic . I have 3 different sheaths for my city-knife-and-other combos :). The sheath pictured today is not waterproofed, and is a much lighter color than my other main sheath.

Your 85 is simply STUNNING

Nice-looking knife

Thank you my friend :) I do have a few nice pocket slips I think, the one pictured yesterday was made by Barry and I won it in one of his generous giveaways, and I also have another Barry made, which was very thoughtfully commissioned for me by Stephen and sent as a gift :) I have another which r8shell made, in which I carry the Camillus BSA Whittler I won in her giveaway, and another which Thom (ScruffUK) made for me :) I have a few others too, but I don't treasure them in the way I do these :)

GT, those are lovely knives you're carrying this week :)

New to the forms today. Carrying a Case yellow cv trapper and a Alaskan Guide Buck 110

Welcome

I had this one in my pocket today.

Hope you're having a good week Stephen
