What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Got this back from Glenn recently - he replaced the scales with a nice dark wood (walnut), switched out the old shield for a new one, and converted the spear blade to a sheepfoot (super job!) - man i LIKE it :)

Classics - I love my Opinels! Especially the ones with the old Markers Mark like this one. Nice!

Tim: That sanding on the OD green micarta just looks terrific! and forget about mustard patina, gonna have to do burritos from now on cause that looks "fabulous" my friend!

Haha thank you Steve, a scotchbrite pad does wonders, as do burritos.

Hahaha in a pull cut towards you I could see it working out. Or for some emergency strap cutting Sturzi ;)

I decided to leave the Beer Scout Knife at home today and pocketed this one today instead. I wish I had time to comment on all the wonderful knives posted today, but I still have to pack tonight as we're headed to Asheville, NC in the morning. As always, you guys impress with your carry choices and equally impressive photos. I hope all of you have a wonderful weekend. :)

Just did the Knievel loop with a few thousand of the finest bikes for Evel Knievel Days, becoming a favorite stop before folks head to Sturgis, Butte gets even more crazy for a few days, pretty impressive and loud.

These two are with me tonight,

So many beautiful knives. I wish I could keep up and comment. Love the old bike Kris. It goes great wit the Steingass. Is that Koa on it. I have a soft spot for Koa and ladder pattern Damascus. I have a nice piece of Koa stashed for a special project.

Thanks Acadian, huh, I didn't realize they had changed...this one I got back in the '80's and it rode for many years in my knife roll back when I was cooking for the money :)

Sounds like you had a blast Kris! I always love seeing that Hartkopf  It really goes well with the Steingass.

yeah...here is a picture I just snapped of the new vs old stamp. I usually prefer sterile blades, but as far as Opinel goes, I really like the old stamp

I seem to have a mix of old and new, thinking about it, I have to agree. The old blade stamp is more pleasing to the eye to me.

Have a fantastic time in Asheville Stephen

Lots of beautiful knives folks :)

Have a great weekend everyone

I'm all in black today ;)

I have a little anniversary today. Five years ago I got my account here on Bladeforums. :)
Exactelly five years ago!

Well I almost felt a little better today so I took son Max to a two-and-a-half-hour-walk through town and the outskirts.
Carrying the Large Stockman, pen, flashlight and some snuff with me...

Haunting you guys for five years with unqualified posts... LOL!!!

Well, it will be my user crown lifter today. Yesterday one of my football players had a loose face mask. I did not hesitate when I pulled out the pen blade on my TK Cuban, but I'll make sure I have a better tool, though a screw driver would be best, fortoday's practice.
