That eschwebach is a beautiful picture of a handsome knife. Haven't seen a Burnside jack since I joined the forum. my wife's and I had our engagement/wedding rings made by a craftsperson under the Burnside Bridge back in 1982. It's a looker!

the coppersmith barlow today

Eric, that's the best Pic of a Burnside I've ever seen. Viewing it has been a pleasure.

Thank you redsparrow for the kinds words.

Steve, that coppersmith barlow is a fine knife and the patina is looking good.

Thanks a lot Dave, my girlfriend picked me that one up in Barcelona. I'll look out for a Joker for you

Carrying these two old friends today ;)

You are too kind Jack, thank you. A black Radio Jack and a black Davison, I can't think of a better pair of old friends for Friday :thumbup::thumbup:

Carrying this in anticipation of the 2015 Bladeforums Knife. I have seen a lot of great looking ones lately.;):)

Thank you Dave, haha now that's a hard sell for a 73, may have to check one out after seeing so many on here. The SAK is the staple classic :)

Wow! You are too kind. Its all about being patient and leaving it alone. Lots of tea bags too. Do not use a light tea.

Well i was patient for twelve hours and am happy with the result, also the blades came out black as pitch but after the wash out and oiling ,dont look to bad ( even if it is cheating ). In the picture along with my constant companion "The Captain" it is easy to see the difference between a "forced" and an "earned" patina, i am considering polishing the TJs blades and letting a patina form naturally.
