Buck 055. Scheduled for a new knee on 25 August so this is the only one I'll carry until then and take to the hospital with me.
Fish Barlow ! Thank you Marko !!! Half stops and fantastic walk and talk too !![]()
That small rounder is gorgeous Gary!
Queen Canoe made it into the pocket today, finally ousting the GEC 73 and Buck 501.

Is that a GEC ?
Thanks, Mike.
That Queen Canoe is a nice looking knife. Is that one D2?
Thank you my friend, that is a beautiful photo, are those laburnum pods?
Yes it's D2. The main blade is pretty thick, and it took my amateur sharpening skills a while to get a nice edge on it. The secondary is a stubby little pen, but it's scalpel thin, in contrast to the main blade, and came pretty sharp.
It's my second Queen with these faux stag carved bone handles (2014 Northwoods IRJ is the other one), and I have to say I'm a big fan of them.
Bark River Parang just arrived. The Postal lady had to carry it to the door!
Heading out to my tree stands to clear some brush, then going fishing.

Thank you for the compliment! The whittler is quite photogenicGoing to sharpen her up tonight.
The tree is a Mimosa (Albizia julibrissin) and the seed pods and seeds are poisonous, as per one source and another says they can be used for livestock feed and wildlife. It is considered an invasive species. In traditional Chinese medicine Albizzia jublibrissin (合歡花 Hé Huān Huā
is used to nourish the heart and calm the spirit....huh
I would much rather it be a Laburnum. Those are gorgeous in bloom!!
