Thanks Andi! I got this back from Glennbad after he had removed the second blade with amazing dexterity, I really like the bone on it and find the GEC stainless to be a giant of a knife steel

Regards, Will

Will - Glenn has turned that into a one of a kind beauty. You can peel all of those lovely pears with no patina! ;)

And speaking of Patina, here is the latest photo of my EDC 73. It just gets better with age! ;):D

I apologize for the poor photo, these knives deserve better.

Plenty of character to me! Is that iroshizuku syo ro in the 2000?

Thanks! The green is Waterman Harmonious Green and the orangy-brown (which is in the pen) is Diamine Ancient Copper. I've never tried any of the Japanese inks yet, actually, but a lot of them look very intriguing.

GT, That's a mighty fine looking watch. Lots of history behind it and a priceless family heirloom I'm sure. Thank you for sharing it.

I don't know how you guys get such longevity out of your coin pouches. I'm lucky to get two years out of one. Mine always develop a tear in the same spot. Never fails. Good thing they are cheap and readily available.

I've been wanting to get myself a Minichamp for several months but I'm not sure how much I would use it. Been eyeballing the Alox versions. Is that a pen sticking out of yours near the open blade? I wasn't aware that the Minichamp had a pen because I've only really checked out the Alox models.

Some great-looking knives today
...
And a very nice watch too! :) I was minded of a scene from the movie Pulp Fiction;)...
Thanks for the watch compliments, Rick & Jack. :) Here's a photo of the watch with its face showing, along with the Imperial jack that got me interested in pocket knives again after a 45-year hiatus to go to college, become an adult, raise a family, start (and nearly finish, I suppose) a career, etc.

Rick, my current coin pouch seems to be made of thicker plastic than others I've had. I also rarely squeeze it all the way open, which may reduce wear and tear on the ends where it flexes (and usually tears, in my experience). My fingers are kind of long and skinny, so I don't have to open the coin pouch very far to slide out a couple of quarters twice a day for bus fare.

My Minichamp does indeed have a pen! I think it's an admirable feature, and I've used it more often than I'd have ever predicted. I like Alox, too, but I found this previously-owned celidor version at a gun and knife show at a price I couldn't pass up. No regrets at all! :D

Jack, I'm afraid this old man has to confess to being so culturally ignorant that your Pulp Fiction reference is totally wasted on me. :(

Gevonovich, outstanding balance and setup in that picture. Great knife, you know I am fond of that one. Thank you, what a treat at the and of the day.

I always had a bunch of those rubber coin purses as a kid. When I was in elementary school, we would race them in the winter. During recess, we'd go outside to the parking lot to where the plows had pushed up big piles of snow. We would make what were basically 2 lanes down the side of a pile and race our coin purses downhill. Being made out of that smooth latex/rubber material, once we got the lanes packed down nice and smooth, the pouches really flew. After having written that out, I realize how incredibly nerdy that must seem. Ha!
