Good to see you back Stephen. Your posts have been missed (by me anyways ;)).

I love looking at that stag on the Chamblin when you post it Kris. Talk about texture. It would tear your pocket to shreds if you didn't have the slip!

All beautiful MT!!! Wow, gorgeous knives. The stag on that whittler is awesome

Thanks for the kind words, both knives are from top notch craftsmen. My whittler stays put in my pocket, in a Italian made, horse leather slip, very supple.

Just hanging out at the house this afternoon, and decided to carry my 1983 MIB Fight'n Rooster stag dogleg jack.

Excellent teardrop. A fine example of the pattern, and in excellent shape.

Thank you Liam.

What's the worst that could happen? :D

The blade isn't an even color. After the vinegar, I used it to cut up those onions, so it's a more natural looking patina now. I could always go back with more.

I did the backspring, too. I made sure to scrub it with baking soda afterwards to prevent rust. Then lots of oil, of course. I like it

That looks great Rachel! Keep using it and the patina will even out and act like Teflon.:D

Umm... was I not supposed to get vinegar on the bone?

 You soaked the bone handles too? LOL! It looks fine and it didn't hurt them so all's well. :)

I'm carrying my 83 that I've been neglecting in my barlow fever. Need to get an updated picture showing the wild patina it's getting!
