What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

These two are with me today on this cold start,

Sean O'Hare Finback in Sean's own damascus(672 layers of O1 and L6) with a beautiful DI burl handle, along with a wharncliffe trapper built by Mike Zscherny, amber stag and damascus forged by Doug Ponzio. Sheaths by Paul Long and Claude Scott. I am really looking forward to receiving my drop point hunter from Bob Loveless this week!

Have a great Sunday folks.

Nice Pickett slide rule.
Nicer than nice knife.

Grilled meat and few other recipes  for today's lunch, celebrating a friend's birthday on a wonderful sunny autumn day. A glass of cannonau, myrtle, and a nice knife seemed to fit :

I know you've had a hard week Kris, but hope your weekend has been OK my friend

Great looking knife, Jack. It's been a frequent carry lately, correct?

Thanks Dean, commissioned for me by Stephen 'Old & in The Way' from Todd Davison, I try to carry it at least once a week or so, and could easily carry it every day :)

Wonderful knives for a cold day Kris. I look forward to seeing pics of the Loveless DP when you get it. Hope you and your are warm and well. I carried my Douk Douk this morning, I will swap it out for Sunday afternoon service.

Chris

Thanks Dean. How do you like that Michigan Jack? I had mixed feelings about it when it came out, but I've got one on the way to try out. Still not sure I'm going to like the Saber grind.

Nice combo Dean!

Today I got a custom Barlow in stainless & bone and a production jack in carbon and stag...

Bob,I like it as it is pretty much the same as my Broadway Jack only larger. I'm OK with the saber grind; however, I'm not doing any fine slicing or food prep with it (use my TC Barlow sheepfoot for the fine stuff). I couldn't use it as my only knife as the saber grind would be more difficult to sharpen (I would think) in the long term. The spine is pretty think, too.

Thanks, Eric. I really, really like that stag. The deep dark brown throughout is nice.
