What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Ron, thanks for the story about your Dad and depots. Nice knife, too!

Dean Thanks on both counts!:) Nice tree and 83.

That trapper is as clean as they come Ron! That reg jigged is something else

This has beat out my bullnose as my most constant everyday carry.

Tim - Thank you, that trapper is pretty much a typical Case from the era! :D
I really like your new EDC:thumbup:

Technically, today I've carried more different knives than any day in my life. I knew there was a reason I was procrastinating on moving a "few" things (aside from delaying some potential ring buying ;)). What a beatdown!

However, aside from some light electrical work to get the tree lit, I packed around my CSC BF 2015 (which has some really cool greyish teal streaks that I'll have to capture better on another day)...and managed to stay busy in the office instead of horribly decorating the poor tree. I'm pretty sure Bree and I both won out today.

Nice deep canyons in that stag Will. Don't think I have seen that one before. Do you have a picture of the other side.

Harry

Thank you Harry! It's a big favourite of mine from I think 08, the Mark side is incredibly grooved (getting that shield inlet there shows the quality of GEC construction, other prod knives can't match that aspect) whereas the Pile side is more restrained, but it makes for excellence in the hand.

My two lately, my old friend the Peanut, and my newest work day EDC, a Bradford by Case humpback whittler.

Very nice. I prefer a slim profile for dressing whitetails. What is the blade length?

My Menefee drop point is 7-7/8" overall. The blade measures exactly 3.5" with 3" of cutting edge and is 1/8" 154CM, tapered down to roughly 1/32" or .005" per Rick's measurement. The handle is exactly 5/8" at it's thickest spot (center of grip).

It's the perfect size for me as I like a slimmer knife as well. Here's a backside shot to show the swedge which also slims down the blade. The balance point of the knife is just slightly forward from the center of the two pins. When holding the knife, it places that balance point right at the tip of your pointer finger, or at the tip of your middle finger when utilizing the choil. It's a very capable and maneuverable knife and excels at what it was designed to do.
