What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I saw the presidential give me the evil eye as I left it behind today...

Nice Barlow, one of my favorites. By the way, Mike, my Kindle rests in the exact same cover, just a little more banged up.

I'm carrying just my Micarta Presidential for the second day in row. A useful knife.

Since great minds think alike, I revised my carry... :)

The red doesn't want to come out and play in this light.

The Ettrick again, along with a little mystery knife.

Very interesting r8shell

Finished product.....I made this for a xmas gift what do you fine gentleman think?

Nice work

Very nice Gary :) Hey, have you filched Frank's slide-rule? ;) :D

HST, Jack and Gary. Thanks for the interest and comments on the knife.

It's a Case Bartenders knife. The model # is 64130. As I understand it the small curved blade would be used to cut the foil on the neck of a bottle of wine. I will give it a test drive today.

Cheers Ken! A foil-cutter is essential on a good bottle, but on the older patterns, I think the tool was actually used to break the wire holding down the cork

Woah!!!

Great pics Ted

RACHEL, any clues on that mystery knife? (Or clews, I guess, if it's an Agatha Christie.)

I rediscovered my minitrapper; still carrying my mermaid. And of course my little Vic.

Thanks Jack. I forgot that Frank had posted a pic with a slide rule. I just happened upon it today and figured it would look good in the picture. Oh well, we're both old Engineers and strangely enough we find that we think alike. A little scary actually. :D

Got a Rooster in my pocket tonight. ;) :p

I like that H&R Jeff!

Nice mermaid! is that tortoise or cell?

As far as clues: not much. It's stainless, and it used to have a cheap crimped in bail that I removed, so I think it may be a souvenir keychain type knife - no idea from where. I even posted it in Levine's forum, but no one recognized the stamp. I got it at a flea market from a pile of $5 knives.

Bob Loveless and Tony Bose, if a man could only have two knives, there is not much these two couldn't get done. Drop point by Bob in 154cm and lignum vitae and the Texas jack in ATS 34 and Remington bone

I have not been around here as much as I would like of late, life has a way of doing that. I hope to be able to hang out here more regularly. I sure miss seeing so many of the great knives!

Kris, these two would fit the bill nicely! Those two would be grail knives for myself and many guys I know. Thanks for sharing them.

Chris

I bought this Case Carhart for myself. Put it in my pocket for this first time today after doing a lil work on it.

I,ve been looking for this pattern a very long time, In a price that fits my budget. Thanks go out to a fellow forum member.. cchu518.. for showing the one he bought and responding to me with the info. that allowed me to own this knife.

One dealer I buy from (don't think I can name here) now has this pattern in CV Yellow synthetic. I've got three of them on the way.
