What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Raining like all heck here today, so I grabbed my ATS-34 old green bone stockman with the unusual pen clip secondary blade.

Merry day after Christmas everyone. Boxing day up here in Canada.

Spectacular knives everyone. I really like the Primitive Bone #78 and the Case/Bose Coffin Jack. Nice knives!!

Thanks for the comment on my Forum knife Primble. I'm carrying it again along with a Northwoods whittler.

I'm heading out in a bit to the local Sports Bar to watch Team Canada play Team USA in world Junior Hockey. Go, Canada, Go!!!!

I hope boxing day in Canada is less hectic than Boxing day in London? I made the foolish choice of going out that day and it was a mad house.
Great multi-blade pairing today Ken~

Carrying this one from Bob, I love the striated grain in this one. You usually don't witness it on ebony wood.

Man, I have a lot of knives, as far as traditional knives, I carry a Camillus us "demo knife" in my pocket, when I go Bushcrafting I always carry my Mora no. 2.

With the threat of rain I went to a buddies shop to forge the Big Biscuit Benefit hunter and as a treat got to chop and cut with a new integral bowie my friend forged.

I am now sitting 16 feet up a tree hoping my son can take a whitetail.

Toting the Douk Douk this afternoon.

Merry Christmas everyone! I have been carrying this S&M for the past few days. Gunstock pattern with slanted and pinched bolsters and cpm-154 steel. I am really liking it. Sorry for the bad pic.

Bad picture???:confused::confused::eek:No.

I'm not usually a fan of the Gunstock but somehow these new Schatt versions have sparked my interest, nice steel, good bone, fine pin work and I even like the outlandish shield-giant. :D What is the closed length please? I've seen it on one site at 3.25" but I'm sceptical about that....

Thanks, Will

A friend of mine recently gave me a Remington 700 series R-151 Medium lockback with walnut covers. This is one of the new generation made by Bear and Son. Well made knife. No gaps. No side-to-side wobble, and no vertical wobble unless I grasp the blade firmly and tug. If they met the specs on the Remington web site, this is 440A hardened to ~58. Haven't used it enough to form an opinion of whether they met the spec. But, so far, I like it a lot.

They say a cold front is coming, but it sure feels like spring today. I've got my new White Owl

Thanks, Ed!

That's a very handsome knife Rachel:thumbup: I have the same but Clip and find it a great friend of the pocket. Not heavy or bulky but a couple of decent blades on one spring, my ideal.

What are those flowers? So lucky to have things blooming in dark mid-winter!

Thanks, Will

It's 3.25". (I bought one in smooth white bone, but returned it for fit and finish issues. It's comfortable to hold.)

Thanks for the confirmation, that is an interesting size not too hulking (unlike the RR 2 blade Gunstock I have which sees no use, good enough knife though)
May I ask what the issues were?

Regards, Will
