What with Christmas, family get-togethers, church services, some kind of sneezing+runny nose bug, and weekend chores that I didn't finish until this morning, I haven't posted here for several days. Lots of wonderful knives everyone has been posting in the meantime!!:thumbup: A few subjective highlights that grabbed me:
...So, lately I've really been admiring all the nice and shiny Presidentials being shown around here lately. Well, last night I decided to polish mine up a "little". About an hour later I had it looking almost brand new. Im pretty pleased with the results. It feels like I have a new knife in my pocket, which is always a good feeling.
Holy Xerus xiphisternums!!

That's an impressive "reboot" of your Presidential, SadSS!
Running late this evening and there is too many beautiful knives to quote each one so I am going to just say
Merry Christmas to each and everyone of my friends here on the porch!

This Stag 73 has been in my pocket today
Superb stag, Ron!
Just got it, straight into the pocket...
Jeff, that snakewood 25 is mesmerizing!
...Carrying this one from Bob, I love the striated grain in this one. You usually don't witness it on ebony wood.
That's a very compelling knife, Tim!
Good'ol Buck Lancer anyone?
I'll certainly raise a holiday toast to that classic old Buck!
Seeing your Powderhorn is kind of like a Christmas homecoming, Duane!
They say a cold front is coming, but it sure feels like spring today. I've got my new White Owl

Thanks, Ed!
I gave up cigars last year on Christmas Eve, but that's a White Owl I can still enjoy, Rachel!

These three are with me today,

...
Fantastic!!
For your consideration: I've always thought it a good idea to ID each knife I post in this thread.
+ 5K!!
It has rained for 2 days straight, 6 inches so far and another 2 to 4 on the way. I am staying inside

, this Northwoods Gunstock Jack should suffice.
Hope you get a break in the weather soon, Tom.
...
Still under the weather here too, so not sure I'll be going anywhere today. Large areas are underwater, and I'm still not firing on all cylinders after a strange virus. I need to summon some Charlow Power!

I hope Leeds dries out soon, too, Jack. Also hope you feel better ASAP; Ancient Charlow, like chicken soup, couldn't hurt!

I caught something from my wife and/or daughter that kept me in bed 18 hours out of 24 yesterday, but the symptoms are much less severe today.
Just got this 79 for Christmas. Used it that night to cut my steak at Christmas dinner to start the patina, then an apple and orange, and a little help of some vinegar...so it's a mix of natural and forced patina. I have a tendency to get rust spots on carbon steel blades when I carry them clean, hoping the patina will help a little to prevent that.
Really like this pattern and the pull is very comfortable on this one!
Congrats on your new 79! That sleeveboard shape with a blade at each end is an attractive configuration!!
I haven't even switched to my knives for this week yet!

Here are photos of the knives I used in the kitchen for the past week.
