Beautiful knives, Gary! What's the blade shape on that Damascus Boker?

This naked little Imperial Diamond Edge has been in my watch pocket all week.

Thanks for the compliment, Gary. Here's a pic of that Boker. It has a permanent place in the mission wallet I carry so it's with me all the time.

Nice little Imperial you're carrying.

It's been a fantastic long weekend at the cabin. We had a pair of Red Foxes show up a few days ago and they've been circling the cabin since. I laid out some more traps last week because they flock to our crawlspace when the snow comes... The peanut butter hasn't been touched :)

The fantastic GEC Farmboy has been my companion this week:

And one of the Foxes:

Great knife and pictures Macchina, wish we had 'red foxes around my area still. A significant drop in their population as Coyotes have pretty much decimated them. Last time I spotted a Red Fox was over a year ago:mad:

Carried this Sheepfoot Boys Knife today...added the EO notch. Great, slim little slicer:thumbup:

Thanks Rob. I've never seen one from the factory so rich and even in the coloring. Simply beautiful.:cool:

Thank you Bob and they did a nice job on it.

That's some outstanding Ironwood on that Steingass, Primble. I've got a New York Special from Tim in presentation Ironwood myself. Makes great handles.

I was reminded that my Steingass EDC in Spalted Maple and CPM-S30V hasn't been carried in awhile. It's paired with an Ohta Wharncliffe Trapper.

Thank you Gary and yours is a beauty too - Tim does some really nice work ! :)

Primble - Thanks for leaving that beauty at home! ;) Since you have pointed it out to me I can now see the Orangish tint to that beautiful Jigged bone!:D:eek::D

Primble - Is this the knife you are referring to? Because, if it is, I like it just fine! :D If you send it on down to the Volunteer State where it belongs, I might look in the old knife box and see if I can find an old blue handled knife to send to you back in the Blue Grass State. ;):D

Thank you Ron and uhh NOT ! ;):D:D:D

Nice pic of the knife and track and the majestic Red Fox ! Have you considered throwing a half bale of straw and some doggie treats out and inviting him to stay over? He may very well keep the more destructive animals at bay and I doubt he would hurt anything if you don't have anything stored there. Might be worth a try to find out. I have had rabbits living under my shed for fifteen years and the only thing they ever bothered was chewing a hole in the foundation lattice to get in and out. I dug out the two feet of snow last winter to help them out. ;):) Now groundhogs, mice, rats, and raccoons, that's another matter ! :D:D:D

I think you might have a crack in the ebony...

GT, cleaning up the presidential took a lot of it's character away. I underestimated how much the patina added to the knife, but I have been cutting up everything I can get my hands on the past few days. The patina is coming back. It shouldn't be long before it takes on that beautiful grey/ black that I loved so much. I also let it get dull(ish), and kept putting off giving it a proper sharpening.
I really like those diamond edge imperials. I almost bought one a while ago, but it wasn't in the best of shape. I just can't get enough of that shield, though. It might be one of my all time favorites.

Thanks, Primble. The Sanrenmu is a gift from davek14; it's very functional, and I think it meets The Porch's requirements as a traditional, but I don't really think of it as being a traditional at heart.
I certainly admire your taste in knives, but I don't understand how a man of such impeccable taste regarding cutlery can root for Bama (instead of MSU) or UK (instead of Purdue) or the Yankees (instead of the Detroit Tigers)!

:eek::D:D:D Thank you for the compliment concerning my knives GT and the beat down on my sports picks. I suppose my sports choices are a bit confusing, but, you have to remember that we gave up Bear Bryant to end up at Alabama, after he made Kentucky a powerhouse football team. Kentucky football really never recovered and Alabama has been tough ever since, for the most part. I also made a commitment to Stephen and I have lived up to it. I do admire the Alabama program, regardless, but, I reckon we will beat them like a drum in round ball. ;):D As for the Yankees, hard to explain ! :D:D Sorry for the detour. :D

I was happy to see that Tim finally got his hands on a '11 Forum Knife so I decided to get mine out and give it a once over to remove all of the swirlies and polish up the edge.

Great knives today everyone!

This Walnut wood TC was my second TC Barlow purchase. I am pairing it with the JBF Champlin Stag EJ today:
