Rob, is that Case standard Chestnut Bone, or did you dye it? The coloring is fantastic on this but seems much richer than the examples I've seen or had on other patterns. I had asked this in the clip blade thread, but I don't think you saw it.

Happy New Year Ron. That's a perfect hanging about, do nothing day knife.

Another great example Mr. Halfstop !:)

Great knife to start the year Ron

Thanks Bob, Rob and Dan! :)

Thanks to you both!! I really do like this new Featherweight - it's been on my belt since I received it. Here's another pic from today (hopefully the sun comes out one of these days so I can get some better pics of this beauty):

Derek - That really is a terrific Barkie! Love the blade shape and overall lines of the Featherweight.

Bit late posting today :o Carrying these two, symbols like many of my knives, of the great spirit of friendship and fraternity of this forum :)

You must have missed it Bob and thank you. I carried it over to this thread just now so you would not have to hunt for it. ;):)

Bob - I went to a Case Master Dealer's store when they came out and he had six Chestnuts in this knife. At first, I passed on this one because I thought it was too orangish and he let me look through them all. In the end, this one won out because it was the best made of the six and the more I looked at it, the more I ................. well you know. ;):D The remainder of them were much darker. The picture color shown is spot on. :)

P.S. - I refrained from taking it to the GEC Rendezvous with me last year because I knew Halfstop was going and I figured he might beat me up in a trade for it, since he would probably think it was Volunteer orange. ;):D:D:D:D:D:D

Dyed that color from the factory. ;)

Thank you my friend and don't be acting like you don't like my ORANGE knife ! ;):rolleyes::D:D:D

Thanks Rob. I've never seen one from the factory so rich and even in the coloring. Simply beautiful.:cool:

Ever since I polished this one up it has fallen out of my regular rotation, so I'm going to make a conscious effort to carry it more.

Made fire with my Opinel today! This is after nearly four months of 5-day a week carry for food prep, whittling, and everything else.

That's some outstanding Ironwood on that Steingass, Primble. I've got a New York Special from Tim in presentation Ironwood myself. Makes great handles.

I was reminded that my Steingass EDC in Spalted Maple and CPM-S30V hasn't been carried in awhile. It's paired with an Ohta Wharncliffe Trapper.

Primble - Thanks for leaving that beauty at home! ;) Since you have pointed it out to me I can now see the Orangish tint to that beautiful Jigged bone!:D:eek::D

Thank you my friend and don't be acting like you don't like my ORANGE knife ! ;):rolleyes::D:D:D

Primble - Is this the knife you are referring to? Because, if it is, I like it just fine! :D If you send it on down to the Volunteer State where it belongs, I might look in the old knife box and see if I can find an old blue handled knife to send to you back in the Blue Grass State. ;):D
