What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Not sure I'm sober enough for this, but these got me through one of my best friends Batchelor party tonight.

My son in law gifted me this S&M Winterbottom Barlow in 1095 steel. I'm actually very pleased with the quality on this one. I was skeptical when it arrived based on some past experiences with Queen and S&M, but this is a good one. Not perfect, but the little things I found are insignificant.

Very nice knife and gift Bob !

Lots of lovely knives folks  Congratulations on the great-looking Barlow Bob

Duncan's generosity is LEGENDARY:thumbup:

Totin the 15 today

A thing of beauty, the sawcut on that luscious bone lends this 3D effect and helps the pins just pop. Green with envy over here. :p[/I]

Thank you sir

Carrying my 2014 forum knife today :)

And...

 A spear Barlow with a secondary standard single-edge, and it works so nicely together. Impressive one, SVTFreak! :D

Thanks!

Came in yesterday. Pushed the referenced Barlow out fast, and I suspect for a bit. My fourth Davison in the pocket today. Don't be surprised if y'all don't see me for a few days lol

I agree with Bob Ron...one of my favorite of all the TC's;)

Haha! Thank you so much. I am very happy with it. Wish I could take photos that would do it justice.

Forst, I'm sorry for your loss. But that is one stunning pocket companion that you are bringing.

Jack - I hope you are not totin' that beautiful silver sticker in the right rear pocket of your trousers. If so, you might have gone too far with the dueling reading. ;):D:D:D

Ron - my condolences and a fine choice for the circumstances.

The rain has turned to snow and a cold wind blowing stoutly. A pair of ole Catts in my pockets today:

I'm going to see The Hateful Eight this evening (The Revenant doesn't open here until next week), so I might leave it at home in case I get carried away in the cinema! :D

Hope you and those lovely old Catts stay warm and dry :)

Jack, I hope you enjoy The Hateful Eight. We saw the 70mm Roadshow version last weekend and really liked it. Keep an eye out for the large folding knife that Samuel L. Jackson's character uses at one point. I mentioned it in this "Traditional Knives in Movies" thread, but I know your knowledge of old knives is much better than mine, so maybe you can add some insight. (Or just enjoy the movie! Not trying to send you there with a homework assignment or anything.) :D

This gift from Duncan, a GEC #16 "Little Indian Girl" Canoe Pattern. I have a couple of vintage 1970 red bone CASE Canoe's which I like but this carries much nicer to me:cool:

Thank you Duncan, I love this knife. Duncan's generosity extends beyond this even as I was notified by a GEC dealer that I had credit waiting for me towards another knife purchase:o Duncan's generosity is LEGENDARY:thumbup:
