This knife is built so perfectly. No blade wobble. Perfect blade centering. As well put together as a custom. A great little knife, imo.

Jack, I hope you enjoy The Hateful Eight. We saw the 70mm Roadshow version last weekend and really liked it. Keep an eye out for the large folding knife that Samuel L. Jackson's character uses at one point. I mentioned it in this "Traditional Knives in Movies" thread, but I know your knowledge of old knives is much better than mine, so maybe you can add some insight. (Or just enjoy the movie! Not trying to send you there with a homework assignment or anything.) :D

Thank you Jack - enjoy the movie - the Hateful Eight film poster caught my eye at the Cinema the other day. ;):)

Thanks guys, good movie  Barratt, I thought the 70mm was really impressive, one of the most striking things about the film  I did notice the folder (and some other nice cutlery too), of course you barely see it, but it looked like a large single-bladed Jack with a sabre-grind and a long-pull, dark wood handle, maybe a Swell-Centre Jack or Grandaddy Barlow. It didn't look like anything high-end though. I was trying to look past the fact that Samuel L Jackson was actually holding it the wrong way round, as even with a swedge, I'm not sure you'd do much damage to a man's throat with the spine of the blade! :D Don't think I'm giving anything away there

Nice

Wow peregrine the file work on that is amazing

+1. Great-looking knife Gary

I have one of those and find it an attractive and very well finished knife, great snap and no rub. Only problem is I CANNOT get it to sharpen it's only 420 and I can't understand why it refuses to take any edge??:barf::confused:

How's yours in that way?

Thanks, Will

Fortunately mine came pretty sharp so I only had to touch it up a bit. Oddly enough I had the best luck using some of those crock sticks. It does seem to take an awful lot of effort though.

So many nice knives... I can't keep up lol
My carry past few days.. felt large at first but getting more and more comfortable with it.
