What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I'm breathing like Darth Vader today Sam! :D We're just getting some snow flurries here, makes a change from driving rain at least! :grumpy:

That's a very interesting-looking knife my friend (Edit - just enjoyed reading your review)

Ouch! On second thoughts stay indoors!

Thanks for reading my review, a bit of a find!:)

I swear, I use this thing for everything but opening bottles. These pesky perforations can't be torn and my thumbnail doesn't do the trick, so...

Jeff did I let that go?:D:D Great to see it in its new home and also back home in the USA:thumbup:

All the best, Will

Hope you guys don't mind me joining in. I am pocketing this slim little 66 today and have had it in heavy rotation over the past couple months since i picked it up.

Why would we mind you joining in? This is no clique.:D:thumbup:

I like those 66 Slims, got a Red Sawn Bone and Acrylic Pearl myself and yours looks excellent.

Thanks, Will

It certainly is a most useful tool  What's that you've got there?

Very nice WilsonHome, welcome to The Porch

Who needs pocket clips? Thumb studs? I just don't get all that stuff. I can say that out loud here, right?

More specifically a TL-29 an electricians knife made identical for military contracts originally by several manufacturers. Every collector or mechanic worth his salt has at least 1 TL-29 in their collection. It's a mighty nice one too.

I like the current trend of removing the stripper/screwdriver blade to thin the profile some making it very pocket friendly. IIRC we have a member here who's really good at it. ;)

Welcome to the Forums by the way.

Enzo Necker 70 and a Queen scout for me today. Admittedly I bought the necker because as of late I have a fascination with white handles, but it is one heck of a little slicer.

Sweet little fixed blade, Tom! Don't know why, but I have yet to pull the trigger on an Enzo. How do you like them compared to your BRKT's?

Speaking of which, I have the Featherweight with me again today:

When I first decided that I needed a quality pocketknife the Buck 500 was the knife I was searching for. I went on their website and saw that they were no longer in their catalog, and this began my search for an alternative (at the time I wasn't aware of the massive secondary knife market). This is what eventually lead me here and kicked off my hobby. Seeing your 500 reminded me of all of this. I think I'm going to have to find me a 500. ;)

It's Wooden Wednesday all week for me, as I've been alternating between these fellows:

Thanks L2D! It is a bit less refined, and it is flat ground instead of the convex grind, but I really do like it. I spent a few minutes on my stones when I got it and it really slices well. Doesn't hold and edge as long as the Bark Rivers, but pretty good edge retention overall. Very lightweight too, just melts in a pocket sheath. I think the tang is skeleton-ized and the handles are a hollow.

Nice pic of that Featherweight!

Totin some Bocote today
