What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

You always have great EDC.

Thanks! A lot of thought and effort has gone into it. The leather notebook with knife slip, the tritium keychain dangler, and the watchband are all homebrew (With some help from my friend who runs a lasercutter on the keychain).

Home from work, and decided to swap out for something smaller... At 2.5", I think this qualifies :)

S&M Two Blade Senator

This was my carry for the day. I have owned MANY traditional patterns and although I have a few GEC #38's this is the first CASE Seahorse. This arrived in the mail from RDaneel along with a Vintage Russian coin from 1818, this is the oldest coin I own:thumbup:

Dean, I LOVE THE SEAHORSE!!! Great ergos, wonderful massive wharny main and terrific coping and pen blades:cool: Not to mention the wonderful bone stag handles. Does it end there? NO!!! Included with the knife was business card from CASE
Manager of quality processes Michael Weber. Hand written on the back was the model number V6355 PROTOTYPE and a note stating this was never mass produced.

Also listed was the Prototype ID:

1. 2-dots on tang of blade

2. Model maker ID on inside of brass liner on the mark side of knife (pocket end)

Simply put...WOW!!! Thank you Dean for a rare wonderful knife, and coin:thumbup:

Knives come and go but those gifted will always remain, thank you Dean!!!

So very nice! beautiful...

I've been slipping on commenting on other folks knives lately, so I've got a little catching up to do.

That is some very nice bone on that one!

I really like those 33s, and the stag on that one is killer!

The caramel coloring is really nice on that one.

Yet another stunner, Primble.

That is one of the coolest Keen Kutters that I've seen. That is the first time I've seen a little wharncliffe blade on an older Barlow. That knife has so much going for it.

Pine Green 77 Yankee Jack with me today.

The 77 is a classic in all its orientations. I especially like the green jigged bone.

The Pres is looking as good as ever!

Great to see EARL relaxing, rinos; who is his lovely companion?? ;)

LOL! :D  You have some lovely knives there GT
...
Thanks, Jack. :) I feel fortunate and grateful to have them!:thumbup:

Hope you stay enchanted with that sweet Old Timer for a long time, Randy! :D

Thanks, GT. Nice group of Stock knife carries for this week. There's nothing like a stockman! I still think that Marbles is a gorgeous one.
Thanks, Dean. :) The stag bone on the Marbles is done really well, I think, but the Staglon on the 897UH is so classic! I should probably be embarrassed to admit it, but I like Uncle Henry Staglon covers better than some real stag covers. :o

Thanks, 5K. For whatever reason, I think it's my only Kutmaster scout.
You only need one if it's in as good shape as yours appeared to be!

...
Gary - Thanks for the compliments my friend!:) It appears that Santa was very good to you.:D
...
Santa was incredibly good to me, Ron (you sneaky North Pole elf :D)!

Terrific triple play, fowl31: fashionable sheath, first-class knife, and foxy lanyard!

This #33 is elegant and nicely fits into a suit pocket:

Very distinguished indeed, Robb! (Do you have a #9 Esquire? If so, how do the 9 and 33 compare? I can't make up my mind about which is the better "gent's knife".)

For one of my first posts, one of my first traditionals - though largely forgotten about until the other day...

Welcome, Nature Boy; that Case is a classic!

This morning just after 8 am -24.7C:eek: Thankfully the car's in a heated garage, not that common here....:grumpy:

I got this from the Exchange last year and the previous owner had really sharpened the D2 up nicely, not that easy with small blades. It's become my favourite Stockman as it's more like a Gent's Penknife with extra blades. Fine snap, more proof in my book that Queen's Carved Stagbone knives are some of their very best. I wish GEC would make a Small Stockmann like this as it's really useful and pocket friendly.

Now to brave the cold...:barf::eek::D

Stay warm, Will; that temperature is ridiculously low!:( Lovely Queen; is that the "natural" color of the stag bone, or is it picking up an orange tint from a roaring fireplace trying to keep you warm? ;)

Carrying these two today :) Have a good week everyone

I admire the "linearity" of your choices, with the horizontal lines in the French ivory(?) and the diagonals in the scratted Ancient.

These two today.
Jolly good jigging there! I like the looks of a congress, and I like the blade variety, especially in a "full" congress, so I'm surprised that I only have one example.

Thanks for sharing another superlative folder, Primble! Is the pile side darker than mark side, or is that just the lighting?
Primble, I just kept on staring at your SW 294 and I finally realized that the shield is the same one as our 2015 Forum knife. :D

Rachel - Love the pair, especially this fine Keen Kutter.
Good eye on the Schrade shield, Ron!
And I totally agree with your comment about Rachel's carry!

Glorious cannitler, Mike!

...
Thanks GT! The sheath just depends on my mood, and whether or not I think it'll get wet :). Your pics are looking good sir
:)

...
Thanks for the comments Jack and GT. GT you are correct, the Pioneer Settler has 2 blades. A very nice selection of knives you posted.
...
I 've been inspired by all the beautiful Stockman knives posted to carry one today. A slight variant in that its a #53 Cuban Stockman along with my usual SAK.
Today it's a Vic. Cadet II.

...
Ken K.
Thanks, Ken. :) I dug out a little slip of paper I keep on my desk. I use it to jot down knives I want to look for. In the past week, you've displayed almost everything SAK-related on my list: Vic Popular, Pioneer Settler, old cross red Alox, Cadet II (does your Cadet II have the little clip, or the pen blade?). You'll hit everything on my list if you show an Electrician Plus tomorrow! :D

This week's new pic is a Michigan Jack Mammoth Ivory. I gotta say, I really really like the feel of this knife.

Off to play downtown...
...
Wow, that's tasteful, HST!

I'm carrying this ebony Ancient TC Barlow.

That's phenomenal, Dean! What's the old tool in the pic, some kind of awl?

Fantastic foto, Shane!

This is in my pocket

As well as the top one in the picture
Notable pair, bozack! Is that a Presidential? What covers do you have on it? I really like the "burgundy" I'm seeing in that pic!

OK, after a week of undisciplined, selfish carry, I'm back to my regularly-scheduled weekly rotation this week. :D
Some of the knives for this week are a black Vic Pioneer and the silver Electrician I carry every week

Beautiful covers on that one. What pattern is that?

Going by the sheepsfoot peeking out from behind the clip, I'm guessing it's a GEC #66 Calf Roper stockman.

Funny thing being, if so? I'm carrying the same pattern today as well. I'm admiring this 3.5" knife's compact, comfortable blade selection all over again!

I'd hoped to get a picture of this one with my other pocket's knife, a #25 in blue camel bone (caption: Red, Cold, and Blue), but the light and I failed each other.

Here they are separately, in pictures taken previously.

(Sheepsfoot lowered slightly by lightly filing its kick; I lowered it a little more soon after taking the picture.)
