Thank you!! It's an honor!!

Crazy Canuck.....that Willamette Whittler is just beautiful. One of the knives of the year in my book.

Two beauties! I'm missing a Doctors Knife in my collection.

They're a cool pattern, and the full-size ones are bigger than you'd think from the slenderness. I kinda like it when I'm carrying something with a clip or sheep master but could use something a little more substantial than a small pen that has a belly and a point.

Great Barlow, love that coloration!

Some great knives shown over the weekend! I hope everyone had a good one.
This one went along yesterday, and again today :)
Case Sowbelly

This may be the latest pattern that has gotten its hooks into me. Beautiful example!

I don't post much in here because it's been 3 years with the same knife in my pocket. I may change for a day or two every Couple of months but I always come back
Case xx USA 6383 1964-69 brown greenish bone
It has everything for me the main clip is the length of the peanut's main, the secondary pen is for abusive tasks and the little clip is my preferred whittling shape.
The only con is the thickness of the main, but it's intrinsic to the whittler construction

If it ain't broke, don't fix it, and that's a fantastic whittler one day or every day. Love that old school bone and the character from all those years. Those slim smaller blades are nice but you have to appreciate the versatility that big master gives you. The variation in blade thickness is one of the reasons I've really taken a shine to the seahorse/Willamette whittler patterns, but your classic clip is a beaut too! :)

I really like that doctors knife Tsar!
I carried these two today. The 15 Forum Knife and a Vic Pioneer Pruner.

Thanks, Ken. Is that Vic new? The scales look fresh out of the box, as does that hawkbill. I have to start keeping an eye on the exchange for that marvelous bocote. Somebody had to buy some extras... :p

Putting this nut to work while I vacation in the Florida Keys.

Looks like you may have just squeaked past some awful weather down here, I hope you and the peanut get sunny skies and dry days for the duration, even though the 'nut seems resigned to a workin' vacation. ;)

Not as pretty as ya'lls .

The scales look good together and that linesman's knife is really clean, especially for a traditional workhorse. Plus you could take a page out of pertinux's book and come up with a nice custom shield for that Case if you so choose.

Today I toted my Opinel No. 6 Carbone that I got from a fellow BF member. Thank you again sir! It started life out as a standard No. 6 as you can see in the first pic and I added my own touches to it as you can see in last pic. Heavy patina on the blade and Bombay Mahogany Polyshades on the handle. Came out pretty nice if I say so myself. After a quick retouch of the edge and a stropping this thing is absolutely laser sharp!

Nice work, that is one sharp-dressed Frenchman! How did you manage to get that nice, uniform matte finish and patina?

Northwoods Willamette Whittler

 Outstanding red bone! A couple more of those and I'll be selling plasma to hand money over to GEC for my own. :D

My newly finished work knife, a Schrade made, Holub Hardware branded TL-29 style originally with hawkbill main. Now it sports a sheepsfoot that's razor sharp. I spent about a week on this one, very pleased with results (practicality was the only concern with the restoration.)

Looks like a dead straight edge on that sheepsfoot, great job! Are the scales new, too, maybe micarta? Way to give that Holub a whole new lease on life!

Catt with worms:

That's it. I give up. You have all the worthwhile Catts. It's hopeless! :grumpy: :D

I'm Totin' this Queen City Copperhead today. :)

That is some stunning wood! I may have to reach deep down into the Queen bucket for Wooden Wednesday... :o

This week, I'm carrying these knives, among others.
A Rough Rider half hawk:
Another Joker with bull horn covers that my daughter gave me last summer:
A small Imperial serpentine jack that used to belong to my father-in-law:

That Imperial's probably got some tales to tell. When did you get it from your father-in-law? I really like that swayback RR, too, what's the story behind it? It's a pretty unique blend of styles. Do you have any of those Jokers in different steels, maybe something heavy in carbon perhaps? :p Great trio!

Work has made doing not-work things difficult this week. Didn't even have a chance yesterday to do more than check off some posts I wanted to respond to. :grumpy: I didn't even have a chance to grab snaps of Monday's carry -- though I am including an old pic below -- and I nearly lost the light for Tuesday's as well: I was going to post a pic to the "modern and traditional pair" thread but those pics just turned out too dark.

Yesterday, alongside Mac, the Anton Wingen Jr. bone Barlow.

Today, Mac and my mini-copperhead. No Barlow! :D

Hey, quick question. I have an Imperial just like that, and id like to know if the scales are just plastic? The color on mine is "Peeling" almost like snakeskin and i was just wondering what it was that would do that. Thanks in advance:)

The Halfrich Small Rounder today and tomorrow.

TsarBomba, the scales are original, in fact they are quite discolored. One side is darker, another is quite lighter. Think tea with one teaspoon of milk vs three teaspoons. I did make sure to keep it in line with a nice straight edge, but spent two days trying to think of how I would grind it in order to keep it straight with the flaring thickness. I think I'll post a restore thread later this week.

This little Schrade Walden fell into my pocket on Monday and I just can't seem to get it to leave. Must be that Turkish clip.

LOvely Rodgers Ernie

I agree with Jack Ernie, That Rodgers is something very special indeed!

Primble
Stunning photo of your worm worn old knife:eek:

Jack
That picutre is outstanding and really shows off that beauty!

Beautiful Catt Primble...

Thank you Ronnie. :thumbup::)

That's it. I give up. You have all the worthwhile Catts. It's hopeless! :grumpy: :D

Yesterday, alongside Mac, the Anton Wingen Jr. bone Barlow.
