Great looking barlows Ron, tip top shape~

I'm all to familiar with that shape because my Opinel No 7 usually accompanies me as well. It's the star behind the scenes. :D
Awesome picture btw Tim

Back to the grind today with my hard working 71

Thank you Dan, love my Opinel, it's a knife I can imagine being in my pocket for the rest of my life an gaining some serious age.
Great looking bullnose :)

Carried this yesterday and today. Couldn't resist buying a corgi mug when I saw it online.

Thanks, Ron. I like Camillus barlows, but of the two you're carrying today the covers on the top photo are the best of the bunch I've seen!

Primble - They have been practicing them free throws! You may have lost the game, but that Catt is still a winner! She will definetly get a kick out of that one! ;)

Spectacular knives Primble!

Today I'm going with a Case Seahorse Whittler and a Vic Classic.

Thank you Ken ! I am liking that barbed wire Seahorse !:)

 Now that is pure Art!! I can't get over this one....wow:eek:

If you took multiple photos I would love to see them! Both of those pictures should be on my wall but my eye says it want one with the lighting on the bone and bolster as in picture 1 ( same orientation ) with the blade open so the etch is visible like in photo 2. Just thinking out loud as the pictures just fired me up:D

Thank you my friend. Those pics are old ones and I need to do some more of it. It is a very nice oldie in every respect. ;):)

Thank you Mr P, absolutely stunning Primble

Thank you Mr. J !:) I will have an old Sheffield made knife in my pocket tomorrow. ;):D

Primble, that is a spectacular jack!

Thank you my friend. :thumbup::)

Nice custom ! :thumbup::)

Primble The bone on that Teardrop is sweet, looks like caramel in fact, drool...:D:D

Regards, Will

Thank you Will and you carried what today ?:confused:;):)

Very nice old Barlows my friend ! I hope Tip Top is not the top of Rocky Top !!!:confused::confused::D

Carried this yesterday and today. Couldn't resist buying a corgi mug when I saw it online.

I like that S&M Tim ! :thumbup::)

Love the handles on that knife Tim. Gonna have to get me one of those corgi mugs too.

I will be carrying this again tomorrow. This little guy is just about all I need for Bible college carry. I just wish I could get the bladeplay fixed in the clip.

TsarBomba, the scales are original, in fact they are quite discolored. One side is darker, another is quite lighter. Think tea with one teaspoon of milk vs three teaspoons. I did make sure to keep it in line with a nice straight edge, but spent two days trying to think of how I would grind it in order to keep it straight with the flaring thickness. I think I'll post a restore thread later this week.

It's a fantastic and unique knife with that mod, for sure. I've seen the Camillus TL-29s with the more colorful (i.e. non-black) composite scales do some strange things after sun exposure or the occasional strange chemical interaction, but that usually means it becomes a toolbox knife and not something you'd want to show off. I'm always down to read about the restorations, it gives me a little bit of hope when I consider tackling my own. :o

This little Schrade Walden fell into my pocket on Monday and I just can't seem to get it to leave. Must be that Turkish clip.

I don't blame you. I have that same knife, only in much rougher shape :p that I still tote from time to time even though the clip has just unbearable up/down play. I may tackle a repair attempt, though I fear it might require cutting a new spring and I just don't have the tools to do it here... Just thinking about it makes me wish I had yours instead.

CSC 4" Serpentine Stockman

Absolutely stunning, the bolsters give it this big beefy profile even beyond its size, and those scales! Beautiful!

Contrary to popular belief, I don't have them all.;):D:D That Wingen Barlow looks well made !

We'll see next time I try to take home a nice jigged barehead or one of those script-bolstered Barlows ... :o :D Speaking of bareheads, that Primble's a real prize! :)

Tsar, the Vic Pioneer Pruner was acquired second hand but is in really nice shape.

Nice shape is an understatement, I think I'll keep my eye out for that particular pattern. That classic's interesting, too, but that 'horse is amazing! It looks great with that design and shield.

Today I've got the #76 bocote outlaw

You've won Wooden Wednesday, sir. I salute you! :)

Special carry yesterday and today...
Grail Graham Wee Razel SS
and
Northwoods Ivory Broadway

That Graham is a real looker with those scales, but I'm afraid it would get lost in my bear-paws. :p

TsarBomba - Thank you. :) Nice Barlow!

Thank you, but you really did up the Barlow game with those two Camilluses (Camilli? :D).

I will be carrying this again tomorrow. This little guy is just about all I need for Bible college carry. I just wish I could get the bladeplay fixed in the clip.

I have one or two that I am confident could be fixed if only I had the know-how and the tools. The latter is easy enough to remedy, and I hope sitting down one day with BF and a search engine can help with the former. :)

Today's Wooden Wednesday pocketeers, a Queen #20 in "green wood" and the venerable Case 11031 SH:

Just got this recently. Will be in my left pocket as my backup small knife for some time to come.

...
I did indeed thank you GT, in spite of some very cold and blustery weather. It was good to catch up with two of our AWOL members. The IXL Serpentine Jack was actually an Xmas gift from ADEE :)

Great carry choices there
Thanks, Jack. :) Happy to hear you had a good visit.

...
Thank you GT - that serpentine jack and pocket watch have a lot of character !:)
...
Thanks, Primble. :) I wish I knew more about both the jack and the watch, given their "family heirloom" status.

...That Imperial's probably got some tales to tell. When did you get it from your father-in-law? I really like that swayback RR, too, what's the story behind it? It's a pretty unique blend of styles. Do you have any of those Jokers in different steels, maybe something heavy in carbon perhaps? :p Great trio!

Work has made doing not-work things difficult this week. ...

Yesterday, alongside Mac, the Anton Wingen Jr. bone Barlow.

...
TsarBomba, I actually got the Imperial from my wife 2 years ago, and it started me down this pocket knife hobby path. She got it from her father sometime in the late 1970s or early 1980s, she thinks, after he decided to replace that knife with a new one for his daily carry. The Rough Rider is just a big (3 7/8 inches closed) sheepsfoot/pen jack; it's just like a hawkbill pruner RR offers, but with the hawkbill straightened out (hence the Halfhawk name). I do have a Spanish Joker in carbono, but it's quite a different style: 4" closed, olive wood covers, somewhat different blade shape. Here's a photo:
yDwb74Il.jpg

Hope you get an increase in discretionary time soon. That Barlow is splendid!

...
Hey, quick question. I have an Imperial just like that, and id like to know if the scales are just plastic? The color on mine is "Peeling" almost like snakeskin and i was just wondering what it was that would do that. Thanks in advance:)
AdamF, the covers are some kind of plastic (celluloid?) glued onto metal handles. I had that peeling problem too when I started carrying the knife everyday. I thought maybe the translucent flakes that peeled off might be some kind of "varnish" or "sealant" that had been applied to keep the color from wearing off, but that's just a guess on my part.

The Halfrich Small Rounder today and tomorrow.

That's a stellar, stunning, stylish knife, Gary!!:thumbup:

...
I have these two with me today

Preeminent pair, Jack; the Barlow photo is wonderful!

...
Totin' my John Primble ISW Jack today, complete with English steel. ;):D...

PrimbleJackKnife2_zps41817703.jpg~original
Superlative knife, Primble! (The coins are also notable.)

These two are with me today: Ebony Presidential and Walnut TC Barlow.

Very attractive duo, Dean! (Is 2-knife carry a change for you?)

... The Joker looks very interesting GT! ...
Today I'm going with a Case Seahorse Whittler and a Vic Classic.

Have a good one all!

Ken K.
Thanks, Ken. :) That Seahorse is incredible!

Great pic of the Imperial GT, and congrats on the new addition! Yes the Camillus is new (to me), the seller kind of threw it in with my new Winchester white scout. But I am very happy with it, and can report the caplifter had a heck of a workout last night and functioned flawlessly

City Knife and Beer Scout for me today.

Recycling an old comment: that's a pulchritudinous pair, Tom!!;)

W:eek:W!! That's an eye-popper!

I tend to prefer two-blade knives, but the simple perfection of that pair is remarkable, TB!!!:thumbup:

It has everything for me the main clip is the length of the peanut's main, the secondary pen is for abusive tasks and the little clip is my preferred whittling shape.
The only con is the thickness of the main, but it's intrinsic to the whittler construction
Mateo

I had to fish back and find this again, as I've been thinking about your knife (and your devotion to it) since first reading your post. What a great knife!

Jack - WLST Wednesday, a new trend!:D

It possibly goes without saying that, for some of us, it's a WLST® WORLD.

Three customs for me today.
These blades remind me to be thankful for the caring, supportive, generous people in my life.

That fish shield is awesome^^ First time I have ever seen that. I need to get me a knife with a fish shield!

on topic

I've been missing everyone here lately, what free time I've had has been shared with my lady and the shooting range of late. I woke up this morning and promised myself that I'd catch up a bit and visit the Porch!

I really like that barehead coke bottle pattern!

I 'm carrying these two today. A George Wostenholm and a Wenger with a clip point blade. I'm not quite sure what model it is.

And Gary, what can I say about this one that hasn't been said, other than it's not half rich...it's full on filthy stinkin' rich :)

The Halfrich Small Rounder today and tomorrow.

One of my favorites from Evan...to say this liner-less svelte 15-sized knife is light in the pocket would be grossly understated.
