What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

One of my favorites from Evan...to say this liner-less svelte 15-sized knife is light in the pocket would be grossly understated.

Dang, Joe. That is one slick looking knife! I like that a lot.

What is the white line crossing under the shield made of?

Lovely, lovely Lloyd's gents

Thank you Mr. J !:) I will have an old Sheffield made knife in my pocket tomorrow. ;):D

Excellent, I'll look forward to seeing that :)

Thanks, Jack. :) Happy to hear you had a good visit.

Thank you my friend :)

I was just CFing mine last night, it's overdue for some pocket time I think

I've been enjoying your recent pics P :)

Very nice, tell us more :)

Thanks Rick...irrc, it's all Westinghouse Micarta. What's more intriguing is that there is actually a layer of white, a super thin layer of black, then the burgundy micarta in layers....both in thickness from the backpring to the mark and pile sides, as well as the same layering in the shield area by the stripe. You might be able to see the black layers if you click on my image and go to Flikr?

My new Case Sod Buster Jr. CV in Chestnut bone finally came in the mail today. I'm pretty excited since this is my first traditional slip joint, but I can tell now that it will not be my last. Has a nice snap to it and is very light in the pocket. It will make a good companion to my Grohmann #1 Canadian belt knife & Granfors Small Forrest Axe while in the woods. Here are a couple pictures I took with my cell phone, they're not great.

Well done again all!

Thanks for the comments on the Seahorse Whittler mitch4, Primble, Tsar and GT. Thanks for the comment on the IXL Joe.

Very classy Lloyd in rams horn GuestWho!

Nice 14 forum knife Jack. Who is the maker of the second?

Today I thought I'd carry the Douk-Douk I got for Christmas. I thought it reminded me of a knife I already had. Sure enough. A G. Schrade Hunting and Fishing Knife.

Have a good one everyone!

Just got this recently. Will be in my left pocket as my backup small knife for some time to come.
I love that knife! It would be in my pocket everyday too!
That's a stellar, stunning, stylish knife, Gary!!:thumbup:

More knives in my pockets this week:

- GT

Thanks, Gary! You have all the bases covered today. I like that little pen knife!

I've been missing everyone here lately, what free time I've had has been shared with my lady and the shooting range of late. I woke up this morning and promised myself that I'd catch up a bit and visit the Porch!

And Gary, what can I say about this one that hasn't been said, other than it's not half rich...it's full on filthy stinkin' rich :)

Thanks, Joe. Good to see you back on the porch! I do really like what Evan has done there! Very nice!

Got this little Ohta with me today, and most everyday, along with a few others that were posted in another thread.

Gary - Thank you. :) Your OT reminds me of my grandfathers OT, meaning I really like it!

It possibly goes without saying that, for some of us, it's a WLST® WORLD.

Beauty... I've got one just like it, which I had with me yesterday but not today.

Today's carry: Case Seahorse Whittler in caramel bone and CV, and my GEC #15 Huck Finn in antique yellow bone (sheepfot main, pen secondary)

Case Seahorse Whittler in caramel bone and as-ground SS blades

GEC #15 Huckleberry Finn Boy's Knife in antique yellow bone

I had to fish back and find this again, as I've been thinking about your knife (and your devotion to it) since first reading your post. What a great knife!

Thanks P.

This week I regrinded the primary grind of the main blade, because It was getting too thick behind the edge. Luckily the not so even scratches became invisible with patina from the fruit I cut daily for my son.
pics with a couple of wooden friends
What a beautiful edge for carving the small clip takes with the translucent arkansas.
By the way I was wrong and the knife is from 1979. Too much gunk on the tang I lost the dot :D:D
