This pristine CASE XX #11031SH circa 1940-1964 arrived the other day, wonderful condition, still had cosmoline on the blades
Took a VERY keen edge. Most are clad in a medium finished Walnut, I cant say for certain but this does not appear to be Walnut to me? Cocobolo or Rosewood? Dare I guess ebony? Hummmm, or just a very dark Walnut?
Any insight from my brothers and sisters here is appreciated

BBB - Bingham's Best Brand. The lovely old specimen was made by Ulster Knife Co.
The W. BINGHAM CO., one of the Midwest's largest hardware concerns, was founded by WILLIAM BINGHAM and HENRY C. BLOSSOM and incorporated as the W. Bingham Co. in 1888.

I can smell the freshly cut hay! Great knife:thumbup: And i saw that snag....micarta heaven![]()
Thanks Dan
That fixed blade is sweet, a friend of mine recommended me his work since he grinds the steel down so thin behind the edge. Tempting..
Recycled photo but had the trusty Texas Jack as part as my pair while out and about on the bike yesterday. It's supposedly going to snow today so goodbye non-salted roads :grumpy:

Jack, I like that Boker Copperhead. Reminds of one my dad carried.
mitch4ging, I've been eyeing Ohta's friction folders. Make sure you show us if you get one!
I'm sporting these two today. Dan Krein Microchef in D2 and Micarta, and my Ken Erickson SBG, ATS-34. They go well together.

Sweet mug!![]()
Thanks Tim. Josh grinds his blades super thin which makes them nice pocket razors. Amazingly crafted, good looking, and variety of materials which leads to them not staying long on the knife makers exchange.
Nice Texas Jack and I hope those roads of yours dry up quick for riding!
Somewhat sunny Friday carry

I suppose I should take more precautions with that celluloid LF&C than I do, but currently its such a pleasant little knife.![]()
LOL! Thank you, I've got it on my belt![]()
