What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

This Dunlap 3" WT is in my pocket everyday.

GT Thank you, yes I do find that blade combo very useful and like I say, I'm keeping an eye out for Spear/Talon if it comes up.

Ron Most kind, it does feel like an 'ultra' Traditional as it was such a scarce pattern until GEC revived it. I'm carrying it a lot now.

Bob Wonderful colour to that Rust Red 15, I really regret getting the Amber version, should've gone Red.

Funny, I came here to post mine-- but with a different caption in heart and mind:

At the beginning, at the end, a good, straightforward jack knife...

... nothing more to want or need, on most any level these knives appeal to me.*

*All disclaimers apply.

A good, straightforward Jack Knife is hard to beat

A lot of truth to those statements.:D

Thanks Will. I really like the Amber as well. It just seems I'm on a red kick these days.

You are welcome Tim and a fine pair today !:)

Thank you, that LC is currently soaking in some PB blaster to get rid of some gunk in the backspring. Bret builds the tolerances so tight that it's taking quite a soak.

Haven't carried this one in a while~

Off over to Sheffield early in the morning, and I won't be back home until late :( Going to be carrying these two with me

Thanks Jack, it was a beautiful morning today. Weather has been outstanding here lately. Can almost feel summer around the corner :)

That ancient of yours is looking phenomenal, really like the age on those steel bolsters

Primble

Thanks Gev. I only said that following Kris' post with so many fantastic selections. I like the 15 a lot. ;)

These two lately. The Schrade Cutco Walden NY is a rediscovery. The Case I bought last weekend because it was on sale at my favorite hardware store.

Nice pair, scrteened porch! Being able to pick up a new Case at your hardware store is getting to be an unusual experience.

Thanks for the comment and interest GT.

The 980T is approx. 3.5 inches in length closed. The 80T is approx. 4 inches in length closed. I don't have a 340T.

Here's a picture of the 980T and the 80T to give you a reference on size difference.

Now I have to figure out what to carry today.

Ken K.
Thanks for the measurements and photo comparison, Ken. :) I think the 34OT is about 3 3/8", so a little smaller than your 98OT, with squarish bolsters and a "regular" clip. I think I prefer the rounded bolsters and slimmer profile of your 98OT (and the larger 61OT).

I think so. I mean, I would try not to push real hard and break the tip off in the cutting board  and I'm not an expert on cutting geometry, but I think so. That's why I don't like to cut a steak on a ceramic plate with a straight edge blade if I want to preserve a sharp tip.

Me, too!

Also, this well-worn little Coke Bottle:
Thanks for the input on cutting with a straight edge, Rachel. :) It's cool to see how tickled you are with your long-lost GS knife! :p The shape of that coke bottle definitely lives up to the name!

That's a hard act to follow Kris. Here's my lowly GEC 15. :o

Bob and Sarah, I think those clip-pen 15s are pretty much quintessential jack knives!:thumbup:

I am totin' a new Viper in Black Linen Micarta today. :D Hope everyone has a blessed day. :)

Yet another voluptuous Viper from the seemingly inexhaustible Half/Stop Collection!! ;) Congrats, Ron!

Thank you! That one is a Western. I was amazed at how good of condition it was in when I found it at an antique mall for next to nothing.
Thanks, Mac. :) That Western scout is definitely a winner!

I admire your self-control, Tim! Gotta be hard NOT to carry that one!:D

When I have a watch pocket this week, this Schrade USA+ 93OT will be in it; when I don't have a watch pocket, the 93OT will be tucked into a whittling thumb guard in my left front pocket.

Like those Old Timers GT. I need to watch more for them when we are out and about . The plan is to update the Car on The Lake tomorrow morning after I take Nancy to work.
