What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

LOL! :D Thanks TB, Enzo Elver :) That's a great line-up of knives you posted
...
I'm off to see ADEE and ScruffUK today. Carrying my Watchpocket Barlow and a few knives I picked up in Sheffield yesterday :)

I sense some serious swapping afoot. :D

What is that (serpentine?) shadow in bone, second from the top of your Sheffield haul?

An Orange Blossom and EO with me today:

That's a beautiful EO but please don't go peening on any more NYKCs. This one's already got a shield. ;) :p

Picked this up recently, and got it cleaned up last night! Very hard steel and nice ivory covers:thumbup:

We're going to need a J.B. exposition on Blackpool cutlery now... :D

Thanks, Harry. :) I enjoy the variety of patterns available for Old Timers, but I'm kind of lazy: rather than searching for vintage Schrade USA Old Timers, I'm mostly picking up new Taylor-Schrade Chinese models.
...
Wow! I'm a pushover for a clip/pen toothpick (especially the bigger ones); what details do you care to divulge about that one?
...
My SAK this week is a little red Cadet (apologies to Prince):
My "Euro" knife for the week is my first Opinel, a #6:

The pictured toothpick is unfortunately a tiny variant, stag handles with the typical clip and a secondary pen blade. It doesn't see much in the way of carry but I like how it looked next to my big gunstock this weekend so after I got back to the house I put away the big fixed blade (which I sheath and use as a left-hand knife because of how the crook of the handle seems to be molded to that hand) and fished the little stag 'pick out for a go. It's a super pretty little knife, but I've had no luck finding any stag-handled medium or large toothpick since I started looking last year.

I keep coming across medium/large Schrade OT (and the occasional Uncle Henry) on the big auction site. Out of every 3-4, there is usually one worthwhile candidate. The only problem is some people seem to love overpaying. I did manage a 34OT in pretty good shape recently, but I still can't get my hands on a nice serpentine jack like the 33OT.

Today I'm carrying a PAL Cutlery and a Wenger Pocket Tool Box.

The parade of steel Wengers continues! Lovely bone on that PAL, too!

Long pull nail nick combo kinda day. AG Jack and GEC 36.

An impressive 'fish with some excellent patina!

I've really taken to this knife lately, I like the all steel construction, blade types, the small bolster and handle shape (very comfortable in the hand) A decent size and yet not some pocket drone weighing a ton:eek:

I generally prefer the swell-end barehead jack patterns but I could easily get over that with the bone and that excellent swedged spear master. Spears are underrepresented in my collection, and the GEC coping blade would also be a welcome addition. Glad you've turned this one into a user, I imagine you won't be disappointed. :)

Seeing as it's 't-bone Tuesday' (did that thread die out?) I went with this Ulster on an unusually sunny day in the Western Isles.l

That's an impressive serpentine jack, Paul. Is it small enough for the Cult of the Peanut? :D Regardless, some outstanding bone on that knife.

Today's looking more and more like a washout. This is supposed to be the dry season, but every time I get up to go outside the skies are opening up. I guess it's good that I've got a couple smaller knives in tow to supplement the big #75. This time, it's my EDC Challenge tuxedo alongside a mini-copperhead.

Yes, three Cases. Sue me, I like Case knives. :o

It's actually three and five sixteenths but carries itself very daintily. It's beautifully done, with flush joints and that delicious Rodgers bone.

I've always liked that kind of goofy tuxedo pattern, I may have to try one sometime. The green bone really sings to me too :)

Thanks Ron !!!! Nice looking Outlaw or Gunstock ??

Harry

Harry - Thanks, I looked it up, Outlaw Gunstock Jack. :D

Ron.....I love your Stag 76. I was able to grab one yesterday and I can't wait to carry it! Plus it'll make a fine picture for Stag Saturday of course

Jake - Thanks! It was a Titusville souvenir, and after yesterday I decided to put it in my EDC rotation. It is to nice of a pattern not to be carried. Hope you enjoy yours buddy. :D

GT - Thank you for the compliment on my Gunstock!

Ron
Thanks, my friend! The 56 is not seen often enough. The pattern is a favorite of mine and yours is a splendid example:thumbup::thumbup: Is that pinched bolsters or a refection?

That is spectacular jigging !!

:thumbup::)

Nice TC Biscuit ! :thumbup::D

Just love the lobster! The pictures are book worthy!

Thank you my friend, as is the Kent, or is that Clark Kent ??:confused:;):D

As usual, cream of the crop selections, Primble! Are there guidelines you follow in the kind of background you choose for your knife photos? I noticed you went with two different backdrops for these knives.

Not really GT - just what ever I think of at the moment. :D

Nice set! I really love that top one!

Thank you ! :thumbup::)

Thanks, Tim. :) Goodness, that's an excellent pic of your IRJ!

- GT

Thank you GT, smashing pair you've got. My brother has an Opinel no 6 after some urging from me and he loves it~

It was a barn find from the Northeast and I just assumed it met some fire at some point in its life. Since its a Shapleigh Diamond Edge ...fire knife or fire diamond sounded like a good name for it.:D I really enjoy the knife and it has great walk, talk and snap. Thanks, Tim!!

The Indian River is a gem!! Cool pic as well!

Ah sorry brain mishap, I totally thought I read Fire Diamond on the blade.
Much thanks :)

Tim, I really like the white and black contrasts.

Thanks Bob :)

Great knives today everyone~

I went with the December birthday knife

Thanks my friend :) Always lots of generosity when we meet up, but never any trading :)

Super Smashing Gev! :D

Cool pic GT

Nice ones, Jack! Please tell Thom hello for me, if I haven't missed that opportunity.

Thom ordered one of Barry's #25's after seeing mine :D I've just texted him my friend, and he sends his best

Lovely Ulster Paul, glad to hear you're getting some sunshine up there (at last)

What is that (serpentine?) shadow in bone, second from the top of your Sheffield haul?

The photo is deceptive TB, it's actually a Crown Penknife by Harrison Fisher

Very nice Jeff

Lovely Harry

That is a nice pattern Ron
