Sometimes you feel like bringing out your superhero persona
Whoa, I almost missed this one; that's all jackknife, Gev! I'll bet it's even impervious to kryptonite!
Actually it is!! I bought this one because the 120 was out of stock but I like the long one better because you can slice the tight curves on spoons and such much better with the thin long tip.
It's a little more dangerous in some grips due to the extended reach, though.
Mateo
Thanks for the feedback, Mateo!
Great knives everyone!
Today I'm carrying a PAL Cutlery and a Wenger Pocket Tool Box.
Have a good one.
Ken K.
Nice pair, as usual, Ken!

That equal-end PAL gets my heart rate up!
Long pull nail nick combo kinda day. AG Jack and GEC 36.

Unique knives, Joel!

Is there a history or a reason for having both a nick and a long pull on a blade?
Seeing as it's 't-bone Tuesday' (did that thread die out?) I went with this Ulster on an unusually sunny day in the Western Isles.
Paul
That Ulster looks superb in the sunshine, Paul!

The pictured toothpick is unfortunately a tiny variant, stag handles with the typical clip and a secondary pen blade. It doesn't see much in the way of carry but I like how it looked next to my big gunstock this weekend so after I got back to the house I put away the big fixed blade (which I sheath and use as a left-hand knife because of how the crook of the handle seems to be molded to that hand) and fished the little stag 'pick out for a go. It's a super pretty little knife, but I've had no luck finding any stag-handled medium or large toothpick since I started looking last year.
I keep coming across medium/large Schrade OT (and the occasional Uncle Henry) on the big auction site. Out of every 3-4, there is usually one worthwhile candidate. The only problem is some people seem to love overpaying. I did manage a 34OT in pretty good shape recently, but I still can't get my hands on a nice serpentine jack like the 33OT.

Today's looking more and more like a washout. This is supposed to be the dry season, but every time I get up to go outside the skies are opening up. I guess it's good that I've got a couple smaller knives in tow to supplement the big #75. This time, it's my
EDC Challenge tuxedo alongside a mini-copperhead.

...
Yes, three Cases. Sue me, I like Case knives.
Thanks for some details on your little toothpick, TB.

GEC makes a large toothpick (4" closed, I think), both clip and clip/pen versions, and some were stag; GEC #12 I think. If you're motivated, I'll bet you could track one of those down.
Congrats on snagging a 34OT; a real classic medium stockman!
That little copperhead is drop-dead gorgeous!
A Day's Work for today.
Great photo, Dean! The way things have been going for me lately, I think I'm in the market for a "Two Days' Work" model so I can double my productivity for a while and get caught up!
...
Not really GT - just what ever I think of at the moment.

...
Thanks for the input about your choice of backgrounds for your photos, Primble. I'm always on the lookout for tips to improve my photo efforts!
Thank you GT, smashing pair you've got. My brother has an Opinel no 6 after some urging from me and he loves it~
...
I went with the December birthday knife
Thanks, Tim.

I use my #7 Opinel much more frequently than my #6 these days, but I like them both very much. Nice TC Barlow!
I made some blanks for pocket slips with my 47.
That looks like worthwhile work and a job well done!
Congrats on the HSB, Mike!

Cool pic GT

Carrying the old Christopher Johnson I picked up in Sheffield the other day, and my scratted Ancient Barlow

Thanks, Jack.

The venerable-looking pair you've got today are making me feel young!
I feel like I'm fudging a little by calling this one a traditional but, by gum, Moki sure makes a mighty fine pocket knife...
Moki Kronos
-Brett
Resplendent Moki, Brett!
My snow carry today, as in if I drop either of these in the stuff I should be able to find it

.
Good thinking, Tom, choosing the high-visibility pair for a snowy day! I just looked out the window, and the ground here is already covered; I wasn't expecting snow until noon!

Oh, well, several days of bare ground in February was a real treat; now back to reality, I suppose.
...
Today, I've got my TC Barlow, a.k.a. Young Boiley, which I've taken to calling "the Tom-Cat" in light of its propensity to acquire "character" so readily.....

Makes me think of a big, orange alley-cat with a scarred nose, notched ear, and one eye.
...Yes, that's a chip out of the edge, and a crack in the bone...
No question that your Charlow earns its keep!
I'm carrying a couple of Rough Riders this week. My "canoe of the week" is an amber jigged bone lockback, and my "miscellaneous knife " for this week is a congress with similar covers. (I don't know why I don't own more examples of the congress pattern, or carry congress knives more often; I really enjoy using them.)
