What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Just got this pint barlow and its going in the pocket for a test run today.

I'm off to see ADEE and ScruffUK today. Carrying my Watchpocket Barlow and a few knives I picked up in Sheffield yesterday :)

Those are some really great knives you picked up!!! The three rat tail is so cool! Of course the 25 is wonderful! Good your getting to see the guys. Hope to hear more and see what was traded :D

An Orange Blossom and EO with me today:

Just love the lobster! The pictures are book worthy!

Picked this up recently, and got it cleaned up last night! Very hard steel and nice ivory covers:thumbup:

What a gem, Ernie!!

Looking good, Bob!!:thumbup::thumbup::D

Great looking Schatt and hope the test run goes well

Tom

That is a wonderful pair today. The scout is very cool:thumbup:

Like those Old Timers GT. I need to watch more for them when we are out and about ....

Harry
Thanks, Harry. :) I enjoy the variety of patterns available for Old Timers, but I'm kind of lazy: rather than searching for vintage Schrade USA Old Timers, I'm mostly picking up new Taylor-Schrade Chinese models.

I felt they should be encouraged.
I should probably encourage the only local hardware store I know that has an extensive knife display area. Mostly moderns, but a sizable Case section and a few Rough Riders, Bucks, and other traditionals. Many recommend that for Case, one should "try before you buy", and I should drive across town to this store and put that advice into action.

GT I love that 93ot!

I carried the 71 again today, although the 77 barlow made a few guest appearances.

Thanks, Erik. :) I was fortunate to win that knife in a GAW Fausto hosted a little over a year ago. I enjoy seeing that your 71 is getting some honest work! ;)

Sheffield and Walden in my pockets today:

As usual, cream of the crop selections, Primble! Are there guidelines you follow in the kind of background you choose for your knife photos? I noticed you went with two different backdrops for these knives.

Both magnifique, Primble! Have we seen the Walden open?

The Fire Diamond for me today

Magic, Gev!

…
Great looking coping on that Schrade.

Indian River Jack for me today. The black and the white.

Thanks, Tim. :) Goodness, that's an excellent pic of your IRJ!

…
This afternoon meant offloading the big fixed blade in lieu of this little fella:

…
Wow! I'm a pushover for a clip/pen toothpick (especially the bigger ones); what details do you care to divulge about that one?

Very nice knives today Primble and Gevo .
Have my 83s with me today

...
Harry
Super stag, Harry! You have some gorgeous 83s!

...
That's an interesting set of blades on that bad boy. I have so much more to find in the Schrade world. :o
...
Thanks, TB. :) It's sort of a stockman without the spey. I like the rounded bolsters, sunk joints, and slender California clip; carries like a dream.

...
Along with the Presidential, I'm carrying this chestnut bone CV stockman today. I'd forgotten how much I like it.

The Case CV jigged chestnut bone series is SO appealing; splendid pair, Dean!

Not exactly carrying them around town but the mora 106 was with me almost all day, helping me finish some orders.

Interesting, attractive projects, Mateo! Is the Mora 106 your favorite Mora model for carving? (I'm considering getting a Mora for stay-at-home use, and am unsure what model to get.)

Thanks Gary! :) Nice Old Timer!
...
Today I just felt like an Outlaw. ;) It is hard to beat a good Jack Knife. :)

Thanks, Ron. :) Your Outlaw is an eye-catching change of pace from the Viper celebrations! ;)

My SAK this week is a little red Cadet (apologies to Prince):

My "Euro" knife for the week is my first Opinel, a #6:

Nice one, Wilson! I've had my eyes on those for a while now, how does it carry? Seems like you could carry in suit pants as easily as jeans.

It carries easily and is mostly unnoticeable. I am actually wearing suit pants today and have it riding in that little change pocket that some pants have inside the right hand pocket. It has a super easy pull (i am still trying to learn how to rate on the scale) and a light snap at open & close. I have used it several times around the office already today and am definitely liking it so far.

Actually it is!! I bought this one because the 120 was out of stock but I like the long one better because you can slice the tight curves on spoons and such much better with the thin long tip.
It's a little more dangerous in some grips due to the extended reach, though.

I've really taken to this knife lately, I like the all steel construction, blade types, the small bolster and handle shape (very comfortable in the hand) A decent size and yet not some pocket drone weighing a ton:eek:

Thanks, Will

Seeing as it's 't-bone Tuesday' (did that thread die out?) I went with this Ulster on an unusually sunny day in the Western Isles.

That is one beautiful knife. I've been searching the exchange for one for quite some time now.
I did not know they made them in all steel. I just assumed the bolsters were nickle silver.
