What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Thanks Dean, good to see your knife of 2015 :)

Thanks, Jack. That thread caused me to reflect on the year and what was important as far as my knife carry.

I'll say. I love how yours is changing with use. I opted for smooth white bone, early and then ultimately, with no regrets-- but the appearance of that jigged bone did temporarily throw a spanner in the works at Final Decision Time. Very nice!

... Whether because of intrinsic merits of presentation and workmanship, or as pocketable manifestations of friendship and good company, or some combination of both, I'm grateful for the cutlery-- near and far-- that brighten my days.~ P.

Thank you for your comment, Sarah. I agree with your statement above.:thumbup:

I went looking for this knife a few days ago and to my annoyance I couldn't find it .
I finally asked my wife if she had seen it and she straight away said " Oh that old funny knife
, I've been carrying that around with me for weeks , I didn't think you would mind , because its so old and you have all your new knives to play with "
When I asked to see it she just said its over on the bench with my rings .

Ken

Well thank god she didn't toss it or give it away Ken! Did she hone the edge for you too!?

I had this East Indian Rosewood Viper along today.:D

Very nice indeed Ernie

Another crack of dawn start for me tomorrow, but at least it's recreation rather than work this time :) I generally don't enter the frequent generous giveaways here, in no small part due to the incredible luck I've had in the past :) Obviously, the first time I won, I was particularly thrilled, and the prize most generously offered by KG, was this Case Medium Stockman. It's a knife I often carry when pocket space is at a premium or when a small knife is most appropriate. It certainly qualifies as another old friend I think. Thanks again KG

Hey Jack Black!
Nice lookin' knife

I need to start putting up pics again. Too bad I'm working this weekend.

Today I was totin' the RR Peanut.
It's my first Rough Rider and I like it! Not the best F&F but I don't mind getting this one dinged up as opposed to my Case Peanut (not that it can't handle it)

I will try posting pics of it next week

That's become my consistent approach throughout. :D

Very well put Sarah, thank you.

Thanks, Tim. Your “stone and steel” is stunning and stupendous!

Thank you GT, love that scrimshaw RR that was done specially for you :)

Great photo, Tim! Stone and steel has a ring to it, too.

Let me add my comment on Remy. I thought the photo of him in the earth mover bucket was really cute. He almost had a look like, "Where do you want to shoot me next?"
..

I'm carrying my knife of 2015 and daily home companion today. Not only useful but also a great knife to CE and CF.

Thank you Dean, haha he's very agreeable when it comes to photographs ;)

I really hope to see GEC use fluted bolsters more often on builds. They can certainly do them right~

One of my top 5 for 'old friend's Friday'

It was great week with my new #153215. I must admit, I just love this knife. Maybe it's its whimsical Knifebrite and blade configuration. I just know I love it. My weak attempt at satire...

I love LUME, so this knife has its spot in my top five favorites. Seems silly considering, but it's true.

Finally, my choice of the week. Not sure which one I will like best, but I really like this pattern and the natural micarta. I couldn't decide, so I held a tube in each hand and asked the GF to pick a hand. After its spa treatment for its first week of use.

Everyone have a wonderful weekend and day! ✌️

Nice lume HST!

Have a great weekend everyone! Hopefully the stag brings me luck for the St Jude's bowling tournament this evening! I'll be sure to throw a couple strikes for you and the family Brett.

Thanks again to Dr.Mabuse for the amazing deal. I like it.

Good Saturday to all

Great looking Dixie Brett, hope all is well and a good Saturday to you as well.

Been carrying the houndstooth a lot lately. Waiting to see how the coyote stacks up :D

Thanks Jeff. Hope all is well with you and yours brother. Now that is a place I would like to be today.
