Carrying this #77 today. I'll probably carry it most of the upcoming week as well; part of my ongoing effort to carry knives that I have previously been hesitant to carry.

I've really enjoyed my one example from the latest run of 25's. It's definitely a "little big knife" and is a great shape for tasks that involve holding the blade (like scraping or using the edge to lift things like watch batteries). The wide blade gives a lot of real estate to hold onto. I have a Beagle on reserve but it better be a pretty nice knife to kick this 25 out of my watch pocket!

Still this one. I felt as though I restrained the artist very much when I had todd make it, but I have to admit my months of thought about it have paid off. It does everything so well. The main drop point and wharncliff secondary plus the perfect pull, can open either blade, wharncliff from back with forefinger nail, it just works.

So yesterday working in the shop and gardens, somehow I nicked the edge pretty good. So tonight I profiled the edge to 20 deg per side with the lansky and cleaned it up on the sharpmaker and damn. Cuts like a, well, knife lol.

Primble - Thanks :) I thought you was in mourning for the last 2 weeks.:eek::eek::D That is a beautiful Catt my friend.:)

I am setting in the mall parking lot in the wait mode right now. :D Got this Stag 76 in my pocket.

Leaving you time for coon fingering and chicken-eying I expext ! ;):D

I really felt the Cats would not make it too far this year and they proved me right. ;):)

Where does he get such wonderful toys?

Who ever heard of a dog-legged Catt - that is the question ! :D

Good to see you back Mr P, and in fine style! :)

Primble
Good to see you and that ole dog:D:eek::D I hope the fishing was as spectacular and good on you for helping Mom!!

Primble, great plan. Get the yard work out of the way now so you can fish more!! Trout season just opened here but every stream is swollen and stained with all the rain we've been getting.

Thank you Mr. Jack, Gevo, and Jake. :)

The Porch was getting worried over your absence, and I thought desperate times called for desperate measures, so I invoked the UK thing, hoping to draw you out of the woodwork. Nothing personal ... ;) That cross-species Catt Dog leg should be in a centerfold!!:thumbup:
- GT

Gave me a good chuckle GT - not taken personal. Nice assortment of Alox SAKs.:D

Well, this week was thoroughly awful. My only impetus tonight is posting the week's carries from the camera roll and getting some shut-eye. Tomorrow morning I'll be reading all the dozens of pages I've fallen behind (10 pages just from the last time I read the thread marking replies!!!), but I don't know if I can promise any longer to respond to very much at all. :o So this is what I managed for sports theme week after Sunday's Buffalo Bills combo.

Monday, the NY Islanders of the NHL:

Tuesday, Georgia Tech of the NCAA -- by tradition, our colors were "blue and old gold" but the white apparently counts now:

Wednesday, the NY Mets of Major League Baseball (it's back, baby!) -- yes, that is Mac peeking in from the background:

Thursday, the Miami Heat of the NBA:

Friday, Scuderia Ferrari of F1 racing -- this was not as heavy a carry as you might think :D:

Saturday, Yamaha (specifically the #46 of Valentino Rossi) of MotoGP:

Back tomorrow after I get some zzz's and pick a normal carry without themes or challenges for once. :D

Catchy photo, Rachel! I've eaten corn-on-the-cob and I've eaten potatoes and I've eaten bread, but I've never tried crawfish; tastes like chicken, I suppose?
- GT

I'd say closer to shrimp than chicken, but the way we cook it mostly tastes like cayenne pepper. :D

I do love Austin! I bet the weather is perfect down there.

Absolutely beautiful day! 72 and sunny, and the mosquitoes haven't come out yet, so we sat around the chimenea fire till after midnight. :) Drank some wine and sharpened everyone's pocket knives. :)

This weekend I pocketed my "travel preference", Böker sportmesser

I had to take the lanyard off though. The bail is great for little chain that makes sure you don't lose your knife. Good when you don't have to reach your knife all the time if not at all (and makes nice gentlemanly feel).

Thanks for the kind words folks, much appreciated. These three are with me today,

T.K. Steingass drop point hunter in ladder pattern damascus from Randy Haas Jr. and some very chatoyant Koa, Claude Scott sheath with elephant inlay; Tony Bose Texas jack in old bone and ATS 34, #2; Todd Davison swayback, Sambar stag and ATS 34, #751.

Kris - Every time you post, you make me miss Montana. Lived in Whitehall for a bit but spent most of my youth in NW Montana fishing on the Kootenai.

Very cool Mtblair, Whitehall is just over the hill and I love going up NW, especially around Troy. The giant Cedars are really something to see. Thanks for posting.

Kris

Couldn't decide how to follow up Sowbelly Saturday, so after very little deliberation, I decided to mix it up a bit and do Sowbelly Sunday as well :)
