What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Congratulations on the Boker Barlow Dan, that is a fantastic looking combination, love the FB too

Dual 25s for me today :)

Thanks JB.
I like your style. Why have one awesome knife in pocket when you can have another equally awesome knife as well.:thumbup:

Nice Boker, but man! That FB! Can you PM me more info on it, please :)

Case Half Whittler joining the Little Creek today.

You keep posting that Little Creek I might have to grab one of those new LT versions.

Congrats on the Boker Barlow, Dan! They have such a distinctive look!

a Rough Rider small stockman, scrimshaw by r8shell, that I carry every day

Indeed GT. That Tree on the bolster just made me gravitate to it the first time I saw one.
Absolutely admire that Scrimshaw stockman. What's the equation on it mean? I could cheat and look it up but it's much more meaningful and perhaps a story behind it from you. :D

Great looking fixed blade!!

Thank you good sir

That is some fine vintage sawcut on the covers Dan. Show us that clip blade on the Boker:thumbup: I kept thinking that the fixed blade had a drop point, not a clip...:p

keeping with the FB and a CSC drop point hunter horn covers ( although blurry)and a terrific view at 8750 ft.

Hahahaha. My bad... My bad. Next time blades open for you SBS. ;)

Now that's a beauty pair and a beauty site at that height. Very very nice !

Nice! i have been eyeing those too....

I recommend one for sure. The look... The price... All good

Pretty much star-struck by this one...Pepe makes one heck of a knife.

Wowwwww David. Just wowwww.

Thank you Mr. Jack - I'll have to apologize to Sarah then - darned Paul is to blame ! ;):D

LOL! I was unsure about the 25's previously, wasn't sure they'd suit me, so I was very grateful for the infection :D

Great trio!

Stunning

Cool pics

Thanks JB.

Thanks a lot Dan :D

RJ and Old Baldy for me today ;)

Will, your picture reminded me I haven't used the bigger brother for a while. A bit heavy in the pocket, perfect for a shoulder bag.

How do you like the Eureka? I think it's a fantastic knife especially in the Antique Greenboone, mine gets a fair bit of use I can tell you. Hoping for another run of these, especially the Talon Spear which I missed out on last time :grumpy: Very well finished with that wraparound spring too.

Regards, Will

Atmospheric pictures JP, the Great War has always drawn me, Europe's collective suicide..

I like that burly knife a lot, some of those really are pack-knives and suit a nice day out au bord de la mer ou dans la campagne...:D it sort of reminds me of a type os Scarab beetle or Maybug, most unusual:thumbup:

Thanks, Will

Such a pity GEC abolished the Acorn shield:grumpy: Conductor in Antique Yellow, a kind of Winterbottom Bone, stainless naturally!:D

The name sums it all : bouledogue! It is a very old pattern designed by Issard in the30's for Manufrance, the French ACME Cy, whose catalogue was very heavy with lots of pages to find nearly all that is made of metal and more. It was a limited edition of 45, all hand made last year by Jean Issard (now aged 67) in stag bone (os cerfé) for a forum knife last year.

Today, my GSK, a gift from Jake (Jsega51) because it feels like a new/Old Friends Friday.

Plus, the Coyote I've been carrying daily since it arrived because I always want a small sharp straight edge with me.

So I just picked this up today at Lunch

Ebony wood, brass, and stainless = me dipping my toe into at least a pseudo traditional

--yes I'm a bad photog--

It must be early, as I thought I made this post 10-15 minutes ago, but must not have submitted it :)

Can't believe it's Friday again already! I hope everyone had a great week, and is looking forward to the weekend!

Friday for me is a fun day, because it's cattle knife day!!!!

Cool pairings r8shell and Mike

Should be 70 degrees here today, out to bend some bamboo with a trapper from Rick Menefee in my pocket

attachment.php

Beautiful Menefee Kris, good luck.

Zebrawood and French ivory today for me, Happy Friday!

Short 'n heavy razor trapper, pakistani "burnt bone" scales, cheap but still in solid shape. Sometimes the one-handed option is really needed.
For more delicate work, a 1951 Gerber Miming with never polished aluminum handle, an 'unfinished factory second' as far as I know. Courtesy of a gentleman in Oregon, via ebay. A Victorinox light clip sheath fits & carries it pretty well.

Wonderful knives everyone! Hope a great weekend is had by all. Heading out the door for the weekend and have these two with me :D
