What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

That is a beauty, Ben.

Been working on 3 different Porsche's today(1969 911T, 01 Boxster S, and an 08 twin turbo 911), I am burnt out of this week, glad it is over. Crap weather to boot. Headed out with my ladies tonight, these two are with me

Have a great evening folks.

Unique mods! :cool: I'd enjoy hearing some details about what you did to the wood, and how you got the unusual patina.

I would be happy to share how I did it anytime my friend.

Here is today's lovely carry

This seems to be my daily go 2 all the time now.

Soon to be joining the LCs from Pepe & Dunlap, this Jared Oeser masterpiece (IMHO) - the shield is 4.5 billion year old Gibeon meteorite:

In an attempt to avoid becoming mired in the site's lengthening database maintenance window, I am posting today's Old Friends Friday carry as early as possible. :o

Perhaps I was a little too literal with the "old" part, but it was nice to get my Queen 'nut and the Imperial cattle knife into the pockets today, a place both obviously spent a lot of time over the years:

Nice old friends there, TB. :thumbup: Is that Imperial sporting bone covers? I'm much more familiar with their shell construction knives, and I don't think I've come across an example like yours (love the long pull and swedge), do you know how old it is?

I really like the look of this one, Ron; particularly the bone and the long pull. :thumbup:

Thanks Dean. :) This was a gift from Big Biscuit shortly after St Patrick's Day 2015. It was my introduction to the generosity and friendship that abounds here on the porch. :D

Thanks Harry. :D I noticed yours was also coming along nicely. :thumbup:

Been spending all my extra time on the water this week. Toted this New York Knife Company Jack today:

I have really been enjoying single springs and pearl lately. Pearl handled Victorinox accountant, Hen and Rooster Half Congress, and a Canal Street Ring Opener.

I recently picked up this Hen and Rooster from AG Russell's website, one of the finest knives I have ever handled. 1950s vintage, worth the sticker price IMO.

I went to shoot sporting clays, brought my Camping buddy...and saw these two 'ol boys sitting in my pack. So, took a group shot while cleaning up.

That's a P Beretta knife circa '86 with Italy on the tang (knife, bone saw and Shotgun choke tube tool);
a 1980 something US Made Sabre medium Stockman/Serpentine pattern;
and my lil' cow poke #98!

Wonderful knives all!! I haven't been on the porch too much of late, we are selling our house and buying another and as many of you know that is an all encompassing affair! But it is a very positive step for our family so very worth the stress and long days for sure. Had this one on me today, one of my favorites.

I hope everyone is having a great weekend. Went on the first hike of the season this morning, and it was also the first outing with my new LT Wright Gary Wines Bushcrafter. Case Sowbelly tagged along as well.

Beautiful day for the outing too :)

Tomorrow's supposed to be even nicer, so we're headed out again for round 2!
