Showed up today, and right into my pocket. I wasn't sure if I'd carry it, but after holding it, it's too good not to.

Another beauty, Jeff; I'm enjoying your showing off your "inheritance"! From where did this scout knife come?Day 3 of inherited traditionals in the pocket - today it's a Camillus New York camp knife with red jigged delrin covers. It has carbon blades, brass liners, and what I think are steel bolsters, but they could be nickel. Insane snap on every single one of the tools. I can't wait for GEC to make a camp knife of this size.
You gotta love handsome natural patina. I think the tang stamps falls in the 1960-1976 range.

More of the sawcut red Northfield Barlows; I haven't paid any attention to that model before, and now, suddenly, I'm noticing them all over, and they look GREAT, jrawk & Harry & Ron!!:thumbup:Again today

Tough hockey game last night, Tom.Thanks GT! My Blues pair seems to work, so I am going to continue to carry it on game days until it runs out of luck. Outstanding Canoe, more pics of that in the future please and thank you.
Also A+ Alliteration Again sir
Thanks, Dean; I like my amber jigged bone RRs very much! I also admire that little Catt Barlow of yours; I don't know anything about how most things are made, so the small cursive script on the bolster of your knife seems a totally amazing engineering marvel to me!!
Thanks for the interesting info about the Schrade-Wostenholm knives; were they only made for a couple of years? Glad you could get out and about with things to do, and people to meet, and places to eat....
I like the 25 pattern a lotReally glad Paul introduced me to it
I learned something new about the Schrade-Wostenholm line from Stan Shaw today. I didn't realise that some of the knives were carbon steel, and that they were genuinely made in Sheffield (unlike the ones which had blades made by Camillus). Stan actually made some of them himself when he worked for Wostenholm, and he showed me one of the Stockman patterns that he'd made

A very long day today, and I'm tired and aching from it, but as well as a chat with Stan Shaw, I got to have lunch in one of my favourite pubs, and picked up half a dozen old Sheffield knivesI had this old William Rodgers (another firm Stan worked for at one time) in my pocket

Thanks, Erik! That little Buck is the first knife I bought when I caught the knife bug in January 2014.Thanks, GT! I've always loved the saber ground clip blades that Buck uses. They sure do know how to make a pretty clip!

Thanks for getting back to me, Ryan; a sharpening stone pocket is a good idea, I guess, but I'm sure there are all kinds of uses for that little pocket."Excellent sheath, Ryan; congrats! Does your 77 Barlow fit in that outside snap pocket of the sheath?"
Unfortunately it dosent lol, that little pocket is was meant for a sharpening stone.
Awesome canoe, Jack; that photo made me think of the film "The African Queen".
Congrats on your new Beagle, Macchina; I'm sure you'll give it a good home.
Enjoying the perfect weather on this very long weekend.

Very nice tip-bolstered Rodgers (whether William or Joseph), Jack and Ernie!I think one of my summer projects should be to find an example of a tip-bolstered folder.
