What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Been on a Buck 301 track for the last few weekends, enjoying a clip blade profile which is perfect for my daily weekend use.

Glad I brought the cadet on our holiday in Aruba!

They're making you assemble your own cupcakes? :D

Hope you bring back enough red velvet for the rest of the porch!

Time to start a patina!

It took literally 20 seconds stuck in an apple for my camel bone 'yote to pepper. That wonderful GEC steel won't take long. And those strawberries got me mouth watering. :D

For my Whatever I Wish Weekend, I'm carrying a bunch of Imperials:

A classic cadre of clamshells!

Had a long day today, but it's been a good one :) Just got time to post what I've had in my pockets before retiring ;)

Glad to see the Abbeydale Special out for Stag Saturday!

Such a classic American folding knife. I've been on the hunt for a nice wood 301 to complement my 303, and my composite 301s are always considered for Synthetic Sundays.

Today's carries -- when I used to play a lot of poker I would always feel confident with a pair of Queens:

These two for me today:thumbup: gonna head out and use my new fixed blade from Josh:)

Outstanding Fixed Blade...gorgeous too!! Looks very pocketable:thumbup::thumbup: Looking forward to seeing the shealth.

I do love the old wreck and if all goes well and it turns out sweet it will have all been an accident:thumbup:

A great day at the cabin. I got to spend a couple hours on the river with my 85 and Beagle:

Fancy! Hope you're enjoying your vacation!

How are you liking the NifeBrite, Barrett? Does it keep you awake at night? ;)

Really been enjoying the Nifebrite, GT. No issue with it keeping me up at night, as it sleeps in its drawer in the other room. The wife is tolerant of my knife addiction, but she draws the line at bringing the knives to bed. :D

Barrett, nice Nifebrite Bull Nose, I saw it yesterday and it inspired me to carry my black micarta today:cool:

Thanks, Paul. I've carried my green linen Micarta #71 quite a bit, but this week was the first outing for the Nifebrite.

Beautiful photos, Macchina!

I carried this #77 Yankee Jack today (the one on the bottom; sorry for the old photo, I didn't take any today and it's too dark to get anything good now).

I like the horn covers on that Lambsfoot Jack. reminds me of a setting sun that has broken through the rain clouds.

Thanks Bob, I hadn't carried that one in a while. It seemed to bring some sunshine to the day :)

Jack, your Lambsfoot is a real beauty but that mystery Stag is ABSOLUTELY stunning!!! I don't think I've seen it open yet though:confused::o and thank you also for the fixed blade compliment:)

THanks a lot Paul, I was just admiring the lovely clean lines on your new FB again :) Here's a few pics from yesterday, showing both the blade and pile side of my knife :)

Glad to see the Abbeydale Special out for Stag Saturday!

...

Thanks TB, that's some lovely stag on your pair of Queens :)

More stag today in the shape of this Arthur Wright Lambsfoot :) Have a great Sunday everyone

I know the feeling Frank. There are days I realize I could get rid if every knife but my 301 and be set for life. To me the Buck 301 is the pinnacle of a user-oriented knife. I brought only my 301 on a 4-day hike last year and not only did I not Ferrell unprepared, it was actually easier to know that every cutting task would be handled by my 301. A truely inspired design.

This one in one in my RFP, a Precise Deerslayer Classic, these were really popular among the hunters in the 70s, it's a quality made lock back drop point hunter. The more I look at it it reminds me of the Saki made Gerber Silver Knights, probably made in the same factory around the same time.

These two are with me on this rainy Sunday,

Gentlemen's bowie from the late, John White, M.S., hand forged 1084 and bark elephant ivory with a sheath that Paul Long made for me, Cape Buffalo; along with a Texas jack by Tony Bose, vintage Remington bone and ATS 34, #2.

Well. We can probably close this thread now.

Kris - what a stunning pair there, speechless... You can spot a Bose from a distance, amazing

Gary - beautifully finished Boker, love that burr

Jeff - never been too keen on writing over the major part of blades, but that Greenbone is raaather nice

Jack - a rather splendid Arthur Wright, that looks a particularly good one

.....was at my youngest godson's conformation today, so a gentlemanly ff in the pocket pouch

I love the wood on that one Paul. Kris, like always man, that Texas Jack's clip blade profile is simply stunning.
