What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

The peanut took care of everything today. It's a hard decision in the morning between my peanuts and butterbeans. I was staring at my peanut and Butterbean this morning. My wife says, "What are you doing?"
"I can't decide which one to carry."
"Really." She said and rolled her eyes. And I'll never understand the purses she digs through either.

That is one good looking pair! I especially like that fixed blade.

Thanks, Erik. It's a CFK Cutlery bushcraft knife in D2 and forest green micarta. The blade on this beast is massively thick (7/32" or about 5.5 mm) and it would be far and away the winner among all my knives in length to thickness ratio if not for my little Anza clip point which checks it at 4 13/16" long with a 5/32" thick blade (the CFK is a skosh over 7 1/4"). You get a better impression of the thickness of this blade looking at the grind angle, though I don't have a head-on photo just yet. Maybe I will see if the dying sunlight can give me one decent photo.

Edit: Had a chance to grab a few last-minute pics that should show just how comically thick the blade of this knife is for one that's under 7 1/2". It's pictured alongside the Anza.

I love the wood on that one Paul. Kris, like always man, that Texas Jack's clip blade profile is simply stunning.

Put me first in line should you ever want to part with that beauty. Could probably be said for many of your knifes lol.

It was my 85 again today. It's been cold the last few days (it snowed a bit yesterday) but it makes the coffee all the more welcome! This year Lavazza started selling in the USA and brings the familiar taste back to me from Italy (of course the Moka Pot makes coffee 10 times stronger).

Morning campers, hope everyone had a great weekend

Ebony & ivory for me today, Arthur Wright Lambsfoot and Christopher Johnson Penknife from The Legend (please ignore the fish knife! :D)

Honestly Jack, I don't think anyone could ignore you with that hanging out of your pocket! I've this Moore maker from 1999 today. At 3.5 inches it's a very pocketable size and made by queen, I'm surprised that I've not seen another like it.

LOL! It's actually quite pocketable Paul :D ;) That's a very nice knife my friend

I have just finished this mod so it is now in my pocket. It started as a Wusthof Gladiator jack but the spike was bent and then broke. One new scale and bolsters and a bit of fancy work. We'll see how it goes.

Excellent work ADEE, and a nice photo too

Long time no see, and that looks like a beauty too. Have you any other pictures of the rejuvenated model?

…Thanks Gary!! No...the tool is from an old razor knife kit I have. I use it to gently remove stubborn paint if nothing else works. Some great carries for this week your packing:thumbup::thumbup::D
Thanks, Gev. :) I envy your discipline in choosing the right tool for the job; I tend to choose the nearest tool, whatever the job. :(

Had a long day today, but it's been a good one :) Just got time to post what I've had in my pockets before retiring ;)

What a dynamite daily double, Jack! I think those are your two most memorable knives for me, even though the stag is relatively new; each has unforgettable covers!!:thumbup:

Thanks Jack and Gary. I don't know about flexible Gary. I just happened to be sitting in a chair enjoying the nice day and that rock and Phlox were within reach. Otherwise I would have said forget that. :o:D
Oh and the shots with the pavers are actually higher than the deck behind my house on the other side of a retaining wall. So I can just sit on the steps and get a low angle shot without bending down low. ;)
Thanks for sharing some of your “photo secrets”, Bob. I didn’t realize that 3 important photography considerations are “Location, Location, Location”! ;)

…
It's the White Owl for me today. This may be my summer knife...

Immaculate knife, Dean!

…Gary, I like how you lay out your weeks carry in advance, your covered in the Imperial department:D they just take a great edge so easily;)
…
Thanks, Paul. This nostalgic old guy DOES like his Imperials!

…
A classic cadre of clamshells!
…
Today's carries -- when I used to play a lot of poker I would always feel confident with a pair of Queens:

Thanks for the Imperial compliment, Tsar. :) Lovely pair of monarchs; I’ll bet those two are even more reliable than your poker pairs of queens.

A great day at the cabin. I got to spend a couple hours on the river with my 85 and Beagle:

…
Delightful pics, Macchina! Does the river contain a lot of tannin?

Grand knife and photo, Falling_rain! If all your pics are that nice, you should post more often! :D

…Really been enjoying the Nifebrite, GT. No issue with it keeping me up at night, as it sleeps in its drawer in the other room. The wife is tolerant of my knife addiction, but she draws the line at bringing the knives to bed. :D
…
I carried this #77 Yankee Jack today (the one on the bottom; sorry for the old photo, I didn't take any today and it's too dark to get anything good now).

I suppose a line has to be drawn somewhere. :D
That Yankee Jack is splendid! I’ve been carrying a single-clip #77 2014 Forum knife all week, and thoroughly enjoying it, but a 2-blade spear version seems even better, to me!

More stag today in the shape of this Arthur Wright Lambsfoot :) Have a great Sunday everyone

Nice stag, Jack! I’ve been carrying what seems to me like the same model (won in an R.c.s. GAW) this week, and it’s a terrific knife.

A nice little Sunday knife today.

I always enjoy seeing that little Böker, Gary!

.....was at my youngest godson's conformation today, so a gentlemanly ff in the pocket pouch
IMG_5208.jpg
My goodness, that’s an exceptional friction folder!!

…
I finally got a hold of a 92, and it's been in my pocket since it arrived.

Thanks again AZRANCHMAN!
Congrats on the 92, Erik; very handsome!

Thanks to Mr. Jack Black, this is what I have been totin' today! :D

Congrats, Ron; that ebony A. Wright is definitely distinguished!

Dandy Peanut, P in B, and an amusing insight into domestic life! ;)

I’ve admired the shields on those 85s, but didn’t realize that they could take on a patina; cool shot!

High-class pair, Jack; I hope your day has that same degree of black-and-white clarity as your carry does!:D

This week's carry collection contains these knives, among others:

Thanks for the kind words GT. Yes, that's the same model as you won my friend, Wright's call it a 'Senator' for some reason. I'm glad you're liking yours. Everyone needs a Lambsfoot! ;) :D That's an interesting-looking Stockman

Great start to the days display of knives. I needed something bright today. Love the colors in this Westinghouse micarta...
