What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I generally despise doing business with Ebay, however was happy to get this old Robeson in which I like more than I thought I would, Jeweled liners too (-:

As usual, great knives everyone!

Thanks for the kind comments Tsar, Gary and Will. Will, the lustre obtained on the ebony knife is from a product that contains mineral oil and beeswax. I apply a lite coat and buff with a microfiber cloth. I like the results.

Today it's a GEC 92 in stag and a Vic Pioneer.

Have a good one all!

Sorry for not being able to post here today folks. Entirely innocuous post, but...

Don't ya just love Cloudflare

Stunning deep green bone on that teardrop. I occasionally send out feelers for GECs with that particular color, but it seems a lot of the time the price is just bananas. Supply/demand, it's a bear.

Thank you! You do not see many of these posted. :)

Very nice Lambsfoot Ron!
Ken K.

Thanks Ken!:)

Had these with me early this morning to check out the Trug . ( raised garden ) A 73 and 83

Will take the cover off shortly . Soon as it is consistantly warm.

Harry

Harry, it appears that Stag is doing quite well under the cover!

Ol' Huckleberry today :)

Hey that's a lovely piece, is it just the way the blades are ground or was it last used by a leftie do you think? Regardless, a very nice piece.

Sister-in-law's college graduation was at a theater with metal detectors and bag search...as tight as TSA security. Hadn't even thought about it beforehand. Luckily didn't take anything fancy.

my CV Peanut with my first attempt at hand stitching a leather slip. pretty jenky... but usable!

Consistently warm, eh.... Wouldn't ever need those covers here. :p

Outstanding stag as always, Harry. You should open a GEC stag museum. :D

Thanks for pointing out the Opinel garden knife, TB. I’d never noticed its spearpoint blade before; that’s an attractive feature to me.
Nice selection of attractive handle treatments in your Friday trio!

That was the Thursday trio, IIRC. Friday's was the big Russell with the #18 and the "other" #18. On work days I end up posting obscenely late (if at all!) so I usually assume anyone who reads it will be doing so the next calendar day. :o

Neat-looking tortoisefish there.

Remember, when surprised by a detector the best way to handle it is to trigger the walk-through, indicate that it's a belt bucklet or other item you can't just dislodge (the hardware in my knee often works for this), then palm the knife when you hold out your arms for the wand check.

N.B. This often will not work if you're carrying a granddaddy Barlow, full-size coke bottle or Buck 110. :p

The 'nut might feel a little downmarket in that slip but that's okay, because it'll keep him from getting damaged as well as any custom jobbie! I imagine my first attempt at a slip for my #18s won't look anywhere near that polished. Well done!

Stag Saturday with Johnny Five and the amorous cranes again, mostly spent indoors with a dodgy back and a Mets ballgame -- though I had plenty of boxes to break down because Amazon decided to send the latest shipment one at a time.

Paul, Been eyeing one of these as well........Be sure to post your treasure

TD, my intentions were good but the beers I planned on having never materialized:o

The most perfect Beer Scout, in my opinion. I'm so jealous of all of the saw cut BS owners. Perfect knife, Paul!

Thanks Shawn, I had all but one of the last BS releases but the sawcut was gifted to my brother, when another was made available I just had to grab it:o
