It's the little yeller nut for me today. :)

(2015 Case Peanut in yellow Delrin)

I share your frustation my friend! :grumpy: :D  A very handsome threesome, the Barlow is beautiful

Case really did outdo themselves with those Appaloosa bone Barlows in the late 70s/early 80s, didn't they... I've been madly in love with those knives since I first saw one.

Thanks a lot mate. It was supposed to be a simple operation, carried out under local anaesthetic this morning, and I had agreed to pick him up from the hospital, since they wouldn't discharge him on his own. Unfortunately, they've now decided to do the op under general anaesthetic, and he probably won't be discharged until much later tonight. In the meantime, I'm on standby.

Hope everything goes smoothly. It's unnerving when they go and change things up at the last second like that. You're a good "responsible friend".

take your vitamins!

That Queen winterbottom bone sure is something, huh? Looks great on all sorts of different patterns. Love that doc.

Woops! [emoji15] [emoji48] how about this pair?

That's a nice set of traditionals. Interesting mod to that big soddie; I usually use the full-size soddies as back pocket knives but that's definitely another option. :D

Lunch at the bowling alley today.

I'm more enamored by the double-bolstered SBJ each time you show that off. I like my barehead jack but I think there is clearly room for both variations in my knife chest. :D

For O.F.F. I decided to finally take the plunge and get the Osage orange 'yote out for more regular duty; after a second mystery scratch appeared on the pileside bolster, I figured may as well scruff the handles up some and get a little patina going on that sweet 1095 Wharnie.

Took the Wostenholm I-XL to lunch to show to an old English friend who recalled being in the British Merchant Marines in the late '40's and transporting large rolls of steel from Pennsylvania to Sheffield for tempering then delivering them back to Pennsylvania.

Paul Thanks for your approval over the Aubry. Can't show any more pix just yet sorry, as my P-Bucket is fullish...even when I delete 8 or so pix they still claim I'm at the same % which annoys me. :grumpy: I don't want to pay so I'm hoping to find viable hosting alternatives.

Nice to see the Böker hasn't rusted away in your wild island climate:D:thumbup:

Regards, Will

I've been experiencing the same thing with photobucket. I emailed tech support, and after a few back and forths, they reset my storage recalculation , and it now says I'm at 8% full. Makes no sense. I don't think they fixed anything, just gave me more space, but I won't complain. :D

That case Stockman with punch is the first Case or really any traditional knife I bought. Nice knife. I always think there will be a use for that punch.

Terrific pictures everyone!

Thanks for the kind comment Gary. The woods were spectacular as all the leaves were breaking out. The sun not so much as it brings out a gazillion black flies.

Very nice Lambsfoot Ron!

Today I carried a 13 Forum knife and a GEC 92.

Have a good one!

Ken K.

Rachel I might try e-mailing them, but being in Europe they'll likely ignore me...

Ken K A beautiful combination that, great lustre on the Ebony.

Rick T With those sunk-joints (wish more knives had them!) that will be a trouble free and undamaged pocket. It's a very decent Stockman version.

It may not be autumn but I unleashed the Squirrels & Acorn today, single-blade 73.

Apparently this is an ongoing problem with Photobucket. There are many, many posts online about that exact problem. I ultimately got rid of my PB account and set up my photo uploads on Flickr, instead.

I was never a huge fan of the standard Case #18 to begin with. I prefer to carry the big #75 with standard blade loadout instead, and my EDC is an amber bone CV-bladed 6275. I got my hands on the 6318PU, however, and it immediately opened up a whole new avenue of carry options. I've already repurposed the box for another #18: This one's my user now when I'm not carrying my #75. :)

I am definitely starting to see the appeal to those Talons.

Case Humpback Stockman for the foreseeable future.

Is that the "rough black" composite? Such a utilitarian yet aesthetically-pleasing handle material. I've already nailed down a baby butterbean and a Russlock in that style. That humpback is a looker!

Thanks, Will. Your comments are spot on. Coincidentally, since I became an official knife collector my Humpback Stockman holds the record for longest uninterrupted pocket time. It was the only knife I carried for just a little over a year. In my younger years I beat that record tenfold with other knives and never even gave it a second thought but now something like that is unusual with all these knives on hand.

Thanks, TsarBomba. Yep, it's the Rough Black. Also known as Gum Fuddy. The utilitarian yet aesthetically-pleasing aspect that you mention is exactly why I chose this handle material. I wanted something that looks nice but still has that "work knife" look.

Nice one Rick. I have the same one in my pocket right now. Just a point of reference, is the main considered a Zulu or spear. Thanks,

Alan

Hi Alan. I think I remember seeing a photo you posted and thinking "Dang, I wish I could get a photo to turn out that good". I would definitely call it a Spear blade. I think Case calls it a Spear too but I'm not certain.

Thanks for the compliment. I've been a photographer for more than 50 years so I've had a chance to practice more than most. Compared to some I've seen here I have a lot to learn. Regards,

Alan
